October 7th ~ Dawn Break (Two Days Later ) Disciple was well up that morning and already organizing what needed to be done. She looked at more papers that were spread out on her desk. Her fingers drummed against the wood, as she concentrated. --- Company, Your departure will be at 12:00 a.m., the night belongs to us. They’ll be watching, Disciple --- 11:05 p.m. ~ Launching She stood there grimly listening to the military men and women gather supplies, warm the engines, and go through the rundown to prepare of the flight of the night. There was a higher ranking officer was telling the pilots what the plan was and what was to happen. A bit of a hustle, but it was well controlled, Disciple thought. As usual, a mug of tea was closed in her hands, watching everyone work together. A soldier came up to her and asked if she needed another coat, but Disciple declined. She was comfortable enough. After the higher ranking officer was done speaking to the pilots, he walked over to Disciple, “They understand, sir. We are ready for the cargo arrival.” She nodded in reply, “Thank you.” The officer looked questionably at Disciple as if he had something else to say. Her eyes kept on him waiting for him to speak. “Sir,” he started, “How dangerous are…they?” Disciple blinked, but showed no remark of being surprised that the officer would ask this question. She took a sip of her tea, “Very. But they will not hurt you or your team. That is not their goal. Respect them and they will respect you, officer.” The officer nodded, “Yes, sir.”
