Renee opened the door to her room on the sixth floor, dumped her bag next to the door and collapsed onto her bed with a sigh. This place was surely popular - it had taken forever to get through that line. She stared up at the ceiling, and wondered what exactly she was supposed to do. Her father had suggested going travelling to 'find herself', or whatever that had meant, after she'd left the army. She understood why he'd said that - after arriving home, she'd done nothing for a few months but mull around trying to figure out what she should do with her life. After all, she'd wanted nothing more than to go serve with Bernard since she was 16 - having to decide a new course for her life after being obsessed with something for so long was going to be tough. Her thoughts turned to old memories of Bernard, but she shoved them down, hard. Her brother wouldn't have wanted her to linger on the past. With that thought, Renee jumped up off the bed. She was here now - she might as well give this whole 'finding yourself' business a shot. She wandered out of her room, locking it behind her, and found the elevator. This place was pretty big - she figured that it wouldn't hurt to do some exploring of where she was going to be staying for a while. Renee decided that she might as well begin her exploration of the hotel from the bottom floor, and make her way up, so she pressed the button to go down, and got into the elevator.
