Cleric is acceptable, if you need detailed descriptions for the Norse gods look in Deities and Demigods. As a note my worlds are full of things like racisim, fear of certain religions and distrust of magic, so let things like that play into your character as well. Also putting it out there, Surtur, Thrym are not acceptable gods to the common races, the common races still have a massive hatred for the giants (which Surtur and Thyrm are the two main gods of).
