Hironori wasn't sure at this point of where they were, but before he could pause completely, Akito grabbed his arm. "Hm?" Though he was wondering more so why his light was cut off. The prince was silenced and he gave a childish pout. He obeyed without hesitation however, and looked towards Akito as he slipped a hand around his waist. A sly comment was at the tip of his tongue, but he decided to not break the man's concentration. As they slowly walked through the thick trees, he looked around spotting only obvious things like the trees and large objects. He was guided through the forest, with obvious realization that he was going the wrong way. 'How sweet, he doesn't want to tell me I was going the wrong way. . . He could've just told me, but oh well. And this is the closest he's been to anyone now that I think about it.' Hiro let's himself be guided this way and that until finally in the distance, light could be seen. The prince only gave a content sigh before quickening his pace. "Very nice. And good timing too." He noticed the servant who had stayed behind approaching the two. Just for humor's sake, and because it was kind of necessary, Hironori turned and gave Akito a warm embrace. "I would've been lost in there forever if it weren't for you!" The prince hid his smirk and gave Akito a small peck on the cheek. "Thank you very much." He let go and looked at the servant who stopped a few paces in front of them. "Your highness! Are you- are you two alright!?" She gave a worried glance between the two and waited. "I am never better! Of course, that's thanks to Akito. Can you tell my father we're headed to him now?" "With haste sir!" She quickly bowed before scurrying off to relay the message. When she made it to the dining area, the servant girl quickly bowed. "A message from Prince Hironori." The Emperor raised an eyebrow and gestured for her to speak. "He says that he and his betrothed are on their way. There seemed to have been a mishap and Akito guided the Prince out of the forest to safety." She figured the Emperor would want a good explanation as to why his son and betrothed were late. Before the Emperor could think of something to say, the Empress clasped her hands together and grinned. "How wonderful! He's already keeping our prince out of harm's way. They must be getting along quite well, right?" The servant looked at the Empress with wide eyes. She didn't know the answer, so she relied on what she saw. "W- Well, I did see Prince Hironori hug then kiss his betrothed on the cheek, but that was it before I was sent to relay this message." The Empress only beamed in delight and then dismissed the servant back to her duties. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ "Come now, we should really get going." Hiro smiled and took Akito's hand. This was his element. He definitely knew the palace like the back of his hand, and so he hurried the two through the large building, stopping at the door just to compose his attire. He dusted off a stray leave off of Akito's back before gesturing towards the door, where a servant stood, waiting to open them. "Well, shall we?" Hironori smiled, knowing what his little 'antics' would have caused. If anything, it should've at least deterred their thoughts from Akito running away in a panic.
