Sorry duck but
Name: Kingdom of Altium (seriously, that's the thing that I got when I image googled “cisalpine gaul map”) Capital City: Altinum (the city that is supposed to be Venice) Ruler: Maolcholuim Ó Corcáin Form of government: Despotic monarchy Traits (choose two of the following): - Militaristic (increased number of land units allowed) - Commercial (five trade routes instead of three - please see note) Brief history: The city of Altinum was founded 300 years ago. Although details are patchy, it is supposed it was founded as a fishing town. As the years passed by, though, Altinum became the center of several Cisalpine Gaul traders, who wanted to sail into the Adriatic. Altinum proved to help these traders a lot and soon the village evolved into a small trading city. The trade was making the city prosperous and soon the ships evolved into better designs, which allowed Altinum to, not only cover much of the Adriatic sea, but allowed traders to sail as far as Thessalonika, Crete and Sicily. But everything has to have a twist. 150 years after the foundation of Altinum. a western Celtic king attempted to unify the whole of Cisalpine Gaul and Altinum stood in the middle of his goals. The city was subjugated and forced to pay heavy taxes, forcing the city into decay. 75 years after the fall though, as the power of the kingdom of Cisalpine Gaul decayed, the city rebelled and restored it's independence, allowing it to restore it's old glory. Via tempting trade treaties that allowed Altinum to de facto control numerous territories and some conquests, the Kingdom of Altinum expanded to it's modern day extension. Claimed land (map if possible please):

Name: Maolcholuim Ó Altinum Title(s): (petty) King of Altinum Age: 32 Brief backstory: Maolcholuim O Altinum was born in the city of Altinum and is the grandson of Finnchad O Altinum, the liberator of the city. The father of Maolcholuim, Páraic, conquered around half the modern territory of Altinum. When he was 9 though, he lost his mother in a shipwreck and when he was 12 was accused of stealing a bar of gold from a trader, which caused a great deal of humiliation to his father. This made his father slightly hate him and he was sent to the shaman, where he was educated for (embarrasingly enough) 6 years, in which time he was forced to repay his debts with the trader by sometimes being dragged as a sailor. When he was 18 and he resolved his debts, he lived in a fishing town, hoping to escape from his father's wrath. Fortunately, his father died at age 58 (Maolcholuim was 27) and left 2 daughters. The council reunited to decide who would be the successor since they wouldn't allow women to inherit. Maolcholuim returned and a housewive recognized him as the son of Páraic, thus Maolcholuim became king of Altinum. Already king, his sisters accused him of attempting to rape them, but there were no witnesses to the crime, but the sole accusation caused Maolcholuim a great deal of embarrasment not only within the council, but with his vassals alike. Personality and interests (what do they want?): Rule over Cisalpine Gaul
Also, I approve of resources in the map.
