Story Hook In a parallel universe there exists The World that behaves much like Earth does; a wide range of inhabitable biomes, breathable atmosphere, landmasses surrounded by great oceans, and flourishing with diverse flora and fauna. The difference though is that where Earth is considered explicitly "logical", this world is decidedly and indisputably inherently "magical". All life on this planet carry within them certain elements that let them utilize their decidedly supernatural talents to eke out a living on this Mana rich world. Of special importance to the ecosystem are the "Gods", beings of pure power and tied to certain concepts and domains that are given physical shape to guide the world as they see fit. Numbering exactly eight million in total at all times, their very whims and actions shifts the destinies of kingdoms, countries, and even the world itself. Despite this lofty title, the majority of the Gods are rather unremarkable, like the humble and plentiful coal rocks. However, within all of these beings are unreleased power that can flare up at any given moment, though like fires started by coal it is brief and fleeting. Simply put, the majority of the Eight Million keep the world running by living ordinary mortal lives, unknowing of the power they possess. And then... there are "Singularities". Gods who are decidedly different from their fellows. They who have achieved a higher level of power whether through birth, training, magic, and many other methods have undergone a transformation that allows them to consciously tap into their divinity and perform miracles, live potentially forever until killed, and become great heroes and villains of The Worlds's history. They are considered "diamonds in the rough", individuals of possible potential that might go on to create Pantheons, those who rule over the realm itself and bearers of almost endless powers that could be considered "true gods". These final products however are much like the old gods of our Earth, mercurial and wrathful towards any rebels to their reign. The current rulers often cull any potential they can find to ensure that their reign lasts as long as possible. It is through this system that Pantheons rose and fell, the old being replaced by the new who managed to survive their baptism. This process is called "Polishing", and are the hardships that ensure those who endure can truly master their powers to become the new monarchs and the latest heirs of all that they can see, improving the inherent quality into something of much greater value and lasting power, such as a cut diamond. Now in the death throes of the Seventh Age, after a truly long reign of ten thousand years by the same particularly stubborn beings, a truly incredible amount of new potential have arisen from the sea of "Eight Million" to contest the stagnancy of their iron-fisted rule and to usher in the beginning of the Eight Age as nature long ago intended. However, the Old Generation most certainly does not want this and so prepares to wage holy war upon their younger cousins. As the time of great chaos and change approaches, the manifold races await with bated breaths to see what divinity will come forth for them to adopt in place of the hateful old ones... ---- What This Game is About Hey all, this is a game that is kinda based off of a "what if" scenario where one plays characters that are technically considered gods. As your characters comes into their powers and grow stronger through epic quests, monster slaying, gaining worshippers, amassing magical arsenals, and so on, they grow ever closer to becoming near omnipotent forces of nature like the ones we have in our religion. As they are now though, they're mostly mortals with decidedly higher than average supernatural abilities and hardiness that are constantly being attacked by overly nervous and zealous true Gods that don't take kindly to those that might pose a possible threat in the future, no matter how unlikely. As such, it is in everyone's best interest to survive and grow strong enough where such attempts will not be able to kill you off that easily and maybe take over as the new ruling Pantheon! And that is pretty much the game in a nutshell, which also runs along the line of "Rule of Cool" and "Over the Top" given that it was particularly inspired by White Wolf's Exalted and Scion tabletop roleplaying games. Though the setting is basically Divine Darwinist in tone, characters are pretty much expected to wreck as much havoc as possible and say "Screw the system!" in their quest to live (and maybe become rulers of a new world order). Ridiculous power ups, badass armies, wonky new religions with all the trappings, wacky shenanigans, and so on are all fair game if your god lives long enough to gain them! Are y'all interested now? XD ---- World Building To keep things simple, The World is an analogue to our very own Earth's own countries prior to the mass production of firearms and the like, though steampunk and magitek exists. There are Seven Lands (continents) which correspond to our own (and look a lot like them too), and are named Europa (Europe), Xun (Asia), Sundearth (Australia), the Frozen Wastes (Antarctica), The Patch (North America), Dosana (South America), and Moga (Africa). Likewise, the cultures and countries found there is very familiar to our history, such as Vikings and Romans and Medieval Europe in Europa and Native American tribes in the patch. Currently a work in progress, players are welcome to help world build. ---- Character Sheet

Name:[/*]
Age:[/*]
Gender:[/*]
Race: Can be anything from human to the western fantasy races (ork, elf, dwarf, halfling, so on) to Eastern counterparts (youkai, oni, etc.). Original races are inspected n a case-to-case basis. Humanoids preferred.[/*]
Appearance: Text or Image Links[/*]
Personality:[/*]
Brief Backstory:[/*]
Abilites: What your Godling can do without using their Miracles, which can include magical abilities, supernatural martial arts, or psychic powers.[/*]
Equipment, Items, and Other Belongings on Hand:[/*]
Miracles: Something that only Gods can do, which rely on how much Divinity you have accrued through monster slaying, worshipper gaining, magic draining, and so on. The stronger the Miracle, the more you need to give out and your reserves shrink so you'll have to fill it up again if you want to use these world warping powers. Miracles are also based on your godling's Domain, as the closer it is to your domain, the easier it is to use. An example would be a Battle God having a miracle that can instantly turn a bunch of conscripts into a finely tuned super army in the span of a single day rather than a few months or God of the Forge easily creating sentient super powerful weapons from ordinary materials. The more powerful the Miracles performed, the more reserves are drained. Everyone gets two in the beginning and as the rp goes on, you can create more. [/*]
Domains:[/*] The area of influence your characters preside over. Or at this point, is simply really good at. Choose two Domains and more can be gained in the future. Example: War, Forge, Scholars, Magic, Invention, Kitchen, Rain, Sun, Earth, so on.
