Hi guys and gals,

This is an idea I first tested out on another site, and I've since brought it over to the Guild. Now that I've more permanently swapped over here, I'm interested in setting these up with people if they're interested. I’ve had a lot of fun with this.

Here’s the gist of it: it’s a 1v1 formula where I play one character, and you get to play whatever kind of enemies or monsters you want, as you’ll be the dungeon master of sorts. We’ll pick out a setting that works for us both (I prefer mostly fantasy and maybe some scifi, and most of my characters won't be too heavy on magic), probably cobble together a loose narrative, and then get into the battling! The method so far has been to start out somewhat easier, though even the first enemy or room shouldn’t be a cakewalk, and then steadily ramp up in challenge, until my character either beats the dungeon (whatever that means, like killing the main boss enemy of yours or just escaping or something) or dies a horrible, bloody death. Usually 3-4 fights make up a round if I make it all the way through, and then after that I change up characters and we change up settings to keep it fresh, and start again.

To be clear here, I’m not looking for a hardcore competitive experience or anything, more just hoping for a casual, fun time writing fights. I’m less concerned with winning and more concerned with just having fun fighting against all the wicked things your imagination can come up with. I’d treat all the monsters/enemies you create as your characters, and not autohit or control them or anything. I’ve had a blast with this before, as it’s a nice, relaxed way to have some intense fights.

Some basic things to go over:
[list][*]Please be willing to write around 2 good paragraphs per post. Combat posts don't need to be all that long, yes, but some detail adds a lot to it, and makes it more fun. If you consider yourself a free-level RPer, things might not work out great.
[*]I'll be asking you to come up with basic scenarios for the fights, as you're the one making the enemies, and I'd rather not restrict you by telling you what setting you have to work with. It doesn't need to be anything too detailed, but if you'd like me to come up with the setting instead, I can.
[*]I'm not too big on demanding a posting rate, but I would prefer it if you could post once a day. More than one a day is great. I have a flexible schedule, so I can probably match your posting rate.
[*]Please take hits. I probably don't need to say this, but it's no fun if you block/dodge everything I throw at you just because you can. I will take plenty of hits, if only to add more tension to it. It's fun if you do, too.
