Name: Aesir Age: 61 (resembles human at about 30) Race: Northern Slag Gender: Female Rank: Specialist Brief Origin Story: Aesir was was born in what was originally the only Slag settlement, Ghost farm, in 2221. She was a member of the newer generation of Slags that didn't want to spend their long (compared to human) lives in a mineshaft, and by 2241, with the Slag population boom, became an explorer of the wastes. By the year 2277, Aesir, along with an amassed group of followers from her travels, happened upon the burgeoning communities that would become the Yakima Republic. By 2282, she had been incorporated into the military of the country. Appearance:
---
Army Name: 8th Underground and Recon Division, "The Cascadians" Army Banner: Army Specializations: The Cascadians, as a group designed more for intelligence than actual combat, specialize in two things; Stealth and improvisation. The group is adept at infiltrating civilian and military areas and blending in with the populace, using this to a deadly advantage during anything from simple recon missions, to acts of subterfuge, sabotage, theft, and assassination. Being adept at improvisation allows the group a certain synergy, and helps when missions don't go according to plan. Army Origins: In 2241, when the Slags were first accepted into Modoc, the Slags soon found their population exploding, and they found their way to the NCR, the Mojave and even the north. Aesir was part of a new generation of Slags that flourished when exposed to the outdoors, and armed with ocular protection from the sun (a hat), Aesir found herself walking down the wasteland path of adventurer. 35 years of experience led to the creation of something of an adventuring band, with Aesir at the center, her kind naturally saw her as a leader, the exiled Dwarves of the NCR felt a solidarity with her and took to following her, and Nightkin felt comfortable with her stealthy method of wondering the wastes and with her own minimal repair and programming experience, she revived her share of Eyebots. The cosmopolitan nature of the embryonic Yakima Republic appealed to her and her followers, and soon, she found herself, and those whom she considered her companions absorbed into a nation they could believe in. Army Racial Composition: The bulk of Aesir's squad is made up of Northern Slags, Dwarves, and Nightkin. Although Aesir makes a point of keeping her squad open to anyone, only a tiny minority of her squad consist of human and ghouls. However, a sizable portion of her squad is taken up by robots-- eyebots (both kinds)-- reprogrammed with various purposes, everything from general companion to courierbots. Order of Battle: "Cascadian" company: This group is Aesir's general party for most operations, while they may occasionally receive reinforcements from "Underground," they are generally able to handle all operations given to them. The is the 'active' SOC formation.

Slags (5 [All Female {Including Aesir}])[/*] This is Aesir's group of personal friends and companions, having adventured the wastes with her longer than anyone else in the Cascadians, they possess the most synergy with Aesir and each other and are considered the closest thing in the Cascadians to lieutenants. They are known for their agility, speed, efficiency, fierce guerrilla tactics, fluidity, and excellent subterfuge skills; exemplifying and personifying 8th Underground and Recon Division values. While they are formally known as The Cascadian Ghosts (in honor of where they all grew up), Aesir affectionately refers to them as her 'girls.' They are: the twins Narfi and Nari, Vanir, Notte, and Aesir, their de-facto leader (Deceased members include: Freya).
Humans (4 [3 Female; 1 Male])[/*] Tribal siblings who took to following Aesir when she spent time in Zion, they possess the markings of the Sorrows, their tribe, and as such have trouble blending in to environments where tribals may be discriminated against-- they are able to get along much better with other tribals though. Their skills lie in tracking, general survival-ism, and remaining hidden.Their names have yet to be revealed to the public.
Dwarves (2 [Both Female])[/*] When Aesir was still fresh to adventuring and questing, she received an assignment through a proxy of Mr. House. She was to retrieve Omerta financial documents, and to spy on the Omertas top dogs and find out how they were making their extra cash. House had a feeling it was less than morally upright, and didn't want his Strip to be associated with whatever was going on. House was right on. It took Aesir almost an entire week spent inside the belly of the Gomorrah to piece it all together. The Omertas had been finding out which of their own prostitutes had been making the least money, drugging them (even more so than usual), and selling them off to slavers. Aesir found the young Dwarven girls being "sampled" by a slaver and left the Gomorrah with both of them hoisted over her back, no issues. Well, the room was coated in a thick layer of blood, but Aesir made sure to lock it before she left. The two girls, while entering prostitution of their own free will, soon found themselves underfed so their already small Dwarven bodies would satisfy a niche market for child-like women. They were barley 17 when Aesir liberated them, and they stayed with her ever since. They don't excel in combat and have very weak constitutions, but their ability to use seduction as well as their ability to disguise themselves as children makes them unmatched in plain sight stealth and intelligence gathering. Aesir acts particularly maternal towards them and prefers to keep them out of danger. Their names have yet to be revealed to the public.
Ghouls (3 [2 Male, 1 Female {currently incapacitated}]) [/*] Black and Blue were mercenaries that Aesir once hired to help out with a few quests, they ended up sticking around, they excel at observance, explosives and sniping. Mia was an NCR exile who found solidarity in Aesir's ragtag band, she excels in close and long-range assassination and is arguably the best shot among the Cascadians, she is famously stubborn.
Eyebot Duraframe Models A-C (4 [EDA identifies as Female, ED-A_1, ED-C, ED-C-1 all identify as Agender])[/*] ED-A, ED-A_1, ED-C, ED-C-1 all early post-war Enclave Eyebot Duraframe models in various states of repair, they each possess unique AI, personalities, and sentience. EDA is Aesir's closest companion and excels in hacking, interpreting scientific documents, imitating voices, recording events and serving as a radio, not only to other Eyebots, but to nearby short range radio's, EDA does not have a weapon, in it's place she has a sort 'skeleton key' for computers, an infinite hacking tool. EDA flies completely silently and can float lower/higher at will. ED-A_1 is a clone of EDA with a different personality and a strong radio connection to EDA, ED-A_1 possesses an electric taser with which he can attack enemies at a close range. ED-C and ED-C-1 are EDA and ED-A_1 clones in different armor, given different personalities upon being rebooted, they both posses standard lasers, but no tasers.
Floating eye bots (3)[/*] 3 Pre-war Eyebot models in various states of repair with very sophisticated AI and programing.
Equipped with smaller, holdout weapons, such as revolvers and knives, natural poisons and light explosives. They also have silenced .22 SMGs, several silenced sniper rifles and stealth-boys. They posses a general supply of chems and other items (such as bedrolls or binoculars) for use in the field. Generally dressed in light armor or casual attire, they also possess disguises and a select few articles of stealth-based armor. "Underground" company: If the 'Cascadian' company is the active branch, then "Underground" serves more as a reserve group.

Slags (11 [6 Female; 5 Male])[/*] Aesir's followers from the Ghost Farm, more suited for homestead defense and Eyebot repair than stealth. They help maintain the Mine and would serve as the secondary defense in the event of an attack on the mine and generally remain near the mine. Their names have yet to be revealed to the public.
Dwarves (7 [All Male)[/*] The mysterious original inhabitants of the New Black Diamond Mine. For a small living stipend, they are the prime caretakers of the Mine. While not skilled fighters or spies, they are loyal to Aesir, and will fight if the Mine is under attack. They lay traps in preparation for any attack, maintain the food, medicine and chems of the cascadians, and organize and repair the Cascadian weapons, armor and survival gear supply. Little is known about them or who they are, they are all different ages ranging from old with long white beards to deceivingly young looking.
Nightkin (22 [Agendered])[/*] Former member's of the Master's Army, they follow Aesir due to some engrained loyalty to a master figure, equally former males and females. When not being used as the "muscle" for an operation, they are free to explore, although they tend to await Aesirs next command in the mine. In the event of a disaster they would serve as the mine's primary defense. The Nightkin maintain a large stealthboy cache, and may worship it. They have forgotten their names and merely refer to themselves in third person.
Eyebot Duraframe Models A-D (15 [Agendered])[/*] All early post-war Enclave Eyebot Duraframe models, currently either offline or being repaired.
Generally everything that the "Cascadian" company has, just in a much greater supply for the sake of storage. They also maintain a supply of food, a decent armory of the Cascadians well used stealth based weaponry, keep a stockpile of medicine, chems, and a disproportionately large amount of stealthboys, and protect a makeshift vault full of general valuables gathered, and a collection of bottlecaps and Yakima currency. --- Total troops: 76 (including Aesir)
---
Headquarters Name: New Black Diamond abandoned Coal Mine Headquarters Description: Located near the shore, New Black Diamond abandoned Coal Mine is a massive, mostly empty complex. Complete with 9 hidden entrances with working elevators (fission generator based), numerous secret emergency exits, streams and minimal lighting. The base's weakness, it's size, it also it's strength, the Mine is large enough that each member of The Cascadians can escape to relative privacy, weapon/loot storage is done on a person by person basis, and any fighting in the Mine would become a matter of trap laying and guerrilla fighting.
