Powers or magic: Desmond has always been a fan of the taboo, things that aren't always acceptable in society, or even legal to perform (of course he never did anything before, never tried any of these dark rituals) but one day he, on a whim, attempted to gain 'power beyond that of a God' and learned to manipulate the dark energy in the universe. He can create, destroy and manipulate things using dark energy, but the power twisted his mind and caused a side of him to be born that tends to be random and cause trouble. Think sweet guy turns impish, but not bad or evil.

Personality: He's actually a pretty sweet guy and always puts others before himself, never picking fights or asking anything of anyone. Some would say he's easy to please and eager to please others, and they wouldn't be wrong, but he's also got a strong moral sense and tends to stand for what he believes, even if it gets him into trouble. When his 'flip-side', as he calls it, comes out, he tends to be flirty and quite perverted, troublesome, and not really caring about what people think.
