This experience not only makes them one of the most knowledgeable fighters of the darkness, expert recorders and analyzers of the darkenss but also highly adaptable to new strategies and methods the darkness uses, being some of the earliest of mortals to discover new weaknesses and gaps to exploit. Finally, it is believed that should anyone make a true relevation on the origins, objectives and what the darkness even is... It will be a member of the Horns. Freg-centric plot devices) -Unique Flaw #1 The size of the army cause it to be slow marching, as well as increasing its resource consumption greatly -Unique Flaw #2 (Created by me, mostly to reduce min-maxing) Looked Into The Abyss: ("The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the MORTAL mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." Practical Effect: There are things that no being were meant to know) PATRONAGE & GEOGRAPHIC -Host Map: Originated in Harnia under the war lord, Darmckin, to counter the darkness and reclaim the nation, but was quickly interrupted by an army of crusading humans who then merged with the Horns under the condition the Minotaurs help defeat the darkness once and for all. -Founding Location: Harnia -Patron Realms: Harnian Fugitives can be found largely in Caador and Ma' Hurcazak, they usually reside near Horn bases and receive benefits from the host. -Host Headquarters Location: Green dot, New Harnia [img= http://i.imgur.com/eWannGk.png?1] -Major Host Strongholds: Yellow Dot, Entryway. And one Base in Caador known as Harnia's Keep (minotaurs have simple naming processes) -Buildings of Interest: The Fort complex of New Harnia houses many of the Harnian survivors whether they are of the faction or just trying to survive. LEADERSHIP DRAMATIS PERSONAE -Host Leaders: Darmckin Graggle: Warlord of the Harnian minotaurs and last of the great chiefs. Works jointly with the human leaders. Frederick Vertin: Human general, works closely with Darmckin. -Host Religious Head: Pater Sernion, a Justinian Priest HEROIC DRAMATIS PERSONAE -Freg Gerntef: Aged and wizened, this warrior fought as a young man against the tides that sieged Harnia so long ago. This warrior scholar leads the way to researching the children of darkness, but damaging his own mental stability in the process. He had gained the title of hero during his many research adventures, slaying large evil creatures and saving those he brought along countless times. However there is another reason this aging bull is considered a hero. As the stories say, he was taken aside by an old Harnian god during the siege of Harnia and rewarded for his bravery as a champion of the dying god and blessed with divine magic in return for committing his life to two quests. The first quest was to discover the secrets of the dark plague and how to defeat it, the second quest was kept hidden from the others and only the other appointed heros of the now dead god know the nature of the secret task. [img=http://cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/898508-bigthumbnail.jpg] Young Freg faces off against the abomination (tinkinharn) of the once High King, with the High Kings axe in hand. Silini of Harnia: This young woman has the figure of a human, with a matching face, but bears on her head the horns of the minotaur and the tail to complete the image. She is rumored to be born of a human female and fathered by one of the now dead Harnian gods. She currently is under the wing of Freg, and helps him with his deteriorating state of mind when not assisting a new assault proposed by Frederick or Darmckin. Grogtag the large: Blessed by the dead god of Harnia with the last breaths of the diety he was given all the remaining strength of the entity to match his towering muscular stature. - Jernkin Gog: The third of the dead gods heroes, this minotaur as devoted his life to the destruction of the enemy at all costs and has more than one turned the tide of a battle Hernk the Light: A minotaur blessed by Magnus and the usual mediator between Harnian and Human despite his late entry to the Horns. Before he joined the prestigious order of crusader and redeemer he grew up a a Harnian fugitive within one of the many groups of displaced minotaurs. [img=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VfO2A_KY9jQ/Tav1SZuL8zI/AAAAAAAAADo/feFE3VvDCbc/s1600/Minotaur.jpg] Hernk CULTURAL -History of the Host: After the complete destruction of Harnia by the hands of the dark forces, the surviving minotaurs rallied under the warchief Darmckin and prepared for a (suicidal) counter attack. The minotaurs were interrupted by offers of help from one of the holy cities armies of crusaders, promising the return of their land for help in crusading against the darkness. Darmckin was convinced that without first crusading against the evil and bringing light to the centre of the storm, reclaiming any land would be impossible and hard to handle even if so. After this quick persuasion the minotaurs needed little more incentive to accept the help at the cost of the new objective. Women and children Harnians were sent away and the remaining Bulls forged an alliance with the human crusaders, and quickly swore to fight to the last Bull until Harnia was reclaimed and the darkness vanquished. After many years of combating the darkness the Horns of Harnia raised bases across the lands under the advice of Frederick Vertin, and quickly began recruiting with the housing nations permission. The various new recruits tend to feel secure in their choice of host as The Horns have grown to be known as experts in countering the dark plague as their most senior member, Freg Gerntef, literally wrote the book on it. -Relations (This is very important for hosts as hosts have to pass through realms) -Customs and Traditions: The veteran members of the Horns of Harnia who had first formed under Darmckin had cut the tips of their tails off as the old Harnian contract meaning that they will either complete their task, or prefer death in action. A pact that they live up to flawlessly and a pact usually recreated by younger minotaurs who are recruited, the very same children once sent away with those unable to fight returning to defend their long lost land.
