The tree carriage riders sat in silence as the desert passed by. It seemed endless. Ganondorf, having spent his whole life here, had lost all interest in the sparkling sand and undying heat of the sun. He stared distantly, not really thinking about the desert. Instead, his mind was humming with plans and ideas. He thought that, with the confusion he was sure Midna was causing, now might be a good time to try to take hold of Hyrule. He figured he would use her distraction to his advantage. Perhaps he would talk to her. She would be more useful if she joined forces with him. After several long hours passed with little conversation, Castle Town came into view. It was still very far away. He could almost immediately feel the difference between the desert and Hyrule Field. It was considerably cooler as there was no longer sand reflecting the sun into the carriage. The sun was starting to set. They'd just barely make it before the gate was closed. He smirked a little. It was sooner than he had been expecting. "My good sirs, that castle there is our destination... in case you have never been there, of course." He smiled at the other two.
