Honestly, the best situation for that card to be used is if your opponent controls "Red Dragon Archfiend" and you control "Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei". This means that rather than your opponent taking 500 damage and you losing your monster, it's your opponent losing their monster. Srsly, best case scenario I can think of. It's like Yusei's "Counterattack Beacon". Only time that thing worked was conditional as crap. I don't know.
