It was said to be a surreal experience and it didn't disappoint. Paradise, as the game was called, ran on the newly developed game system named The Revelation. Developed by ᴢᴏʟᴛᴀᴄ Industries. The game and it's system were pioneered by a man by the name of Miles Standish. This game has everything any gamer could need. Countless worlds to explore each with their own unique culture and wildlife. This is where they come in. A small group of friends that have been playing together for about a year or so now. None of them know one another, but they are all good friends despite the distance. Their hangout is a chat-room that the group managed to buy together. They call it 'The Cave.' While being one of the lower tier rooms, it has everything they could possibly need. Together, over the years, they managed to buy several things for the room like couches, games, a TV, books, posters. They made it feel like a home and it was where they spent most of their time. However, one afternoon, while they were hanging out in The Cave going over what they'd earned that day, one of the members turns on the TV to find something rather horrifying. News that just recently, players have been unable to log out of the game. Mortified, they all immediately look for the log out option, only to find that it is gone. Hours later, a message pops up on their internal screens. Miles Standish appears before every player currently in the game and begins to speak to them. "Hello fellow adventurers, assassins, mercenaries, bards, etc etc. I think it's due time that I explain your situation to you. I have a little proposition for all of you." He begins, his face masked in blackness. "If you can discover the secrets I have placed through the game, then I will give you all of my vast riches and you shall live like a king. However, there is a high price to pay for failing. Die in the game, and you'll find you won't be waking up any time soon. If your family members decide to try and remove you from your game device, you will die. If you attempt to leave the game in anyway, via hacks or other means, you will die." He continued, turning his head slightly as if looking at something in the distance. "I won't be handing out any clues so... This is all I offer you. Good Luck." He finished, the screen blipping out as the characters returned to the reality of the situation. In each of their inboxes is a small book icon labeled, "Book of Life" --- Welcome to... Paradise! Rules 1) One character per person. 2) Respect is a must. Disrespect will not be dealt with in any case. 3) Metagaming is a no-no. Same with sexual themes. This is NOT a romance centered RP. There can be romance, but it will not be a centerpiece of the RP. 4) Mary/Gary Sues are bad. Your character should have flaws, give them some! 5) Characters may start at Level 5. No higher. They can start at any level below that. If you're planning on making a character any higher than that, please discuss it with the GM first. 6) Three Line Minimum 7) Please wait until two other people have posted before making another post. 8) Have fun!! Marksman - Skilled in the use of any ranged weapon, a Marksman can pick out a target from 100 meters without a scope. Marksmen typically stay out of active combat, preferring to take their targets out before they can be spotted, but they have no issues hitting a mark point blank or far off. Most of the creatures here are small and non-hostile with the few exceptions. (A very tutorial sort of place.) (The Academy is located on this planet.) Race(s): Human Lethos (Level 5) - An oddly colored planet. It i a mess of different colors, all of them being bright. The creatures here can seem rather small cute but can pack a rather mean punch... or bite if such is the case. Race(s): Fae Terrestria (Level 5) - A very Earth-like planet where in the Wildborns are centered. Race(s): Wildborn Aquion (Level 10) - A planet filled with bluish green water with very few landmasses. The grass here in blue, which only serves to hide the land dwelling creatures here. It is also a planet well known for housing mermaids and other sea creatures. It's said that only 40% of the entire ocean has ever been explored. The ocean itself is refered to as the Dark Descent. Race(s): Aquian Iriquis (Level 15) - This planet is almost completely composed of a crystal like substance. It is a main attraction for some of the less serious players but it is also very dangerous. It can only be observed from certain protected areas because of the crystal's reflective nature. Most people that go out unprotected are burned to a crisp within seconds. There is a legend that says certain creatures live out in this possible area and if found, are very rare and valuable. Race(s): Ibilian Mythos (Level 20) - A red, hot, dry planet filled with rather nasty creatures and dotted with multitudes of "DEEP dungeony" ruins. Known as the 'industrial' planet, Enok is the center of production for a machine paraphenalia. Race(s): Pholirite Nox (Level 50) - A planet engulfed in darkness. It's hard to say what mysteries this places holds as no one has ever managed to step foot on it. Race(s): N/A Admin Castle (Level 0) - Hidden way above the stars, this planet is off limits to most players and is only used in extreme cases.

Paradise is a game developed by Miles Standish that came out in the year 2045, which is coincidental in that this was the 10 year anniversary of Miles' sister, Lisa Standish's, death. The console itself is a fully integrated body suit that plugs into the machine Standish, creatively, named the Globe. It is a circular frame in which the player sits in and straps themself into. When they say, "On" the system boots up as prompts them with questions. The system, much like Apple's Siri, is a programmable interface that speaks with the player through their life while not in the game and gives them information about what is currently happening in game. When they log into the world, their suit plugs into the interface and they go into a 'dream-like' state. The circular design of the console, allows the player to move as their character would building up muscle and even giving them the nutrition they gain in game. The system keeps them alive, giving them everything they wold need to be a healthy individual.

Skills, Abilities, Stats and Techniques: Know the Difference Skills: A skill is a passive bonus certain characters get to actions they preform. They can be trained either by taking certain classes at the academy, using them often, or the use of certain items and equipment. Abilities: Abilities are active powers your characters gain, and are decided by the game. Abilities cannot be altered, and are learned by taking certain classes at the academy, leveling up, advancing certain skills or equipping rare armor and weapons. Stats: Stats are your character's base ability. They are separated into several types, and can be improved by leveling up, using certain items or equipment, or taking the "Practical" classes at the academy. Stats are as follows: STR: Strength. Determines how physically strong your character is. STR is used in Melee combat, interacting with certain environment items, and using certain equipment. FOC: Focus. Used in casting spells and building items. A certain amount of FOC is required to use higher level firearms, and the FOC skill effects how accurate your shots are. AGI: Agility. Determines how fast and agile your character is. Used for moving around the environment and in using certain items and equipment. Techniques: Techniques are combinations of Abilities and moves the player uses, and are not determined by the System. By using complimentary abilities together, a player can turn seemingly weak powers into a strategic advantage. Chapter Two: Magic and You Magic in Paradise can be used two ways. You can either cast spells using the Base System or the Interpretation System. Base System: The Base System uses the game's pre-programed spells. Once you have learned a spell, all you have to do is think the name of the spell three times in your head to activate it. Interpretation System: The Interpretation System is more complicated. Once you have a magic skill, you can activate the system by thinking Interprate three times, as if you were casting a spell. After that, whatever you imagine for the next five seconds will be translated into a spell. This system uses far more mana than the Base System, and can be difficult to control, but isn't bound by the limitations of the Premade spells. Once you achieve a similar effect five times with this system, you have the option of recording it as a personal spell, and it will then have an appropriate Mana value applied and can be named.
