The man was fast, which was to be expected, Mifune wasn't a fool. As the attack came mifune was read for it, his leg had barely lifted from the kick and the man had left himself incredibly vulnerable. Pivoting around both the flames and the outside of the man's claw mifune now stood on his opponents right with his katana in perfect position. Maybe the magic would protect against sand, but not against his diamondlike katana being drawn at full speed across the mans right ribs as he raced past him, where he would then continue moving out of Herriman's range. This man wasn't like the boy and Mifune was already working on a strategy for the counter attack.
