Uldran could hear the start of the festival from the clearing a quarter of a mile outside of Cypress Falls. He'd just finished cleaning the shrine to Tyr. His morning had started with training and a work out before he'd begun the process of fighting back the forest and restoring the shrine. It had taken him the better part of the day, saplings had to be cleared away and old growth removed that had begun to encroach on the standing stones. The shrine itself had to be brushed clean of the fallen needles and cones from the surrounding forest before the grime was scrubbed from it. Uldran sat in silence enjoying the forest and the chill as he ate a late lunch. The hard cheese and dried meat were trail rations but he rarely ate anything but the trail rations. It was never good to let oneself indulge even in this like food. Although with the coming festival he suspected he could let loose a little bit. As the heat from his workout fled his body Uldran pulled a cloak he'd made from the skin of one of the wolves that ran the fringes of Cypress Falls. Finishing the lunch he stood and made sure the shrine was in order one last time before he disappeared into the trees head for the sound of music.
