Name of Character or Entity: Sorel, The watcher of reincarnation, and judge of souls. Can Fourth Wall breakers see this thread?: no, No, because it describes a being, whose records have at great effort, nearly been wiped from existence on the whole. Appearance: http://images3.alphacoders.com/966/96689.jpg Personality: unlike the other primordials, Sorel needed to understand mortals in order to fulfill his allotted purpose. Thus, he’s a vastly benevolent being, in comparision to the aloof Kalamadea, or the indifferent Darque. He cherishes all mortal life, seeing it as the validation of the work primordial do. His philosophy, that if the smallest of things can grow, and prosper than the multiverses are well in hand. He also believes in the value of even a single life, further separating him from his primordial peers. But the most furthering trait of his personality is that he feels the full spectrum of emotions, just as his charges do. At point, having even fallen in love with a mortal woman, and ascended her to godhood, as his bride. But he also retains a firm side, as befitting his purpose. How long have you existed in the Multiverse? He has existed nearly as long as the real Kalamadea and Darque, that is to say as long as there has been a single reality to begin with. Abilities: Immortality: Sorel cannot be killed, although his mortal avatars can, which results in a profound loss of energy for him, and he can be forced to fall from grace to avoid losing too much power by separating his body from his essence. In which case, the two halves must be refused to make him reawaken. Dominion over souls: Sorel, as the primal of souls is naturally gifted with power over the soul and all that entails. He can resurrect beings, so long as they have their original body intact, tear and replace souls from bodies, and unlock power hidden within one’s soul. As well as attack the soul itself if ever needed. Omnipresent sight: Sorel, as a tool of his purpose as the watcher of souls is gifted with total awareness of everything going on in reality, within both worlds and both forth and fifth walls. Bestowal of avatar: Sorel can choose a being, or beings to serve as his mortal avatars, granting them a piece of his power. These beings do not become more than mortal, but they gain enhancements to their existing abilities far beyond what they could achieve by their own means. Peak Ascension: Sorel is ascended as far as possible, becoming the very essence of reincarnation and judgment as a result. He isn't merely a god of those fields. Rather, he exists as the definitive embodiment of them. Firm, yet benevolent. Caring, yet callous. Ascension endowment: uniquely among the primordial, Sorel can choose to ascend mortals to a minor level of godhood, if he deems them worthy. It is the ultimate expression of his dominion over souls, the transmutation of mortal to divine. Do you gain abilities from Crucible pieces? Yes, if he so chooses. Abilities gained from Crucible pieces: N/A Origin/How you came to be: the watcher came into being alongside Kalamadea and darque, albeit slightly after the two other primordial formed. Amongst them, he was granted the purpose of planting new souls, and repurposing those that died. In this capacity, he was both planter, and the secondary reaper of souls. As time went on, however and beings became more and more complex; Sorel realized that he would have to intimately watch mortals, to determine their worth towards repurposing. After all, those of great harm to reality couldn’t be allowed to be simply placed in a new body to renew their danger. And likewise, those of great benefit should be allowed to keep that benefitting influence intact.so, as one that worked closely with mortal souls and mortals by extension. Sorel decided that he had to understand the mortal mind. Thus, he did what no other primordial would. He lived amongst mortals as much as his station allowed. Learning of their ways. And eventually, becoming as much an ambassador between primordial and mortal, as anything else. He fell in love, at one point; with a mortal songstress by the name of almera. It was she that taught him much of mortal emotions and virtues. And for this, he ascended her to godhood as his bride. However, it was this deed, along with the desires of greedy gods that would lead to his downfall. For the gods sought the souls he watched, systematically striking down his avatars to weaken him to a point where he’d be forced to fall. And his familiarization with mortals, combined with his love to one, whom he ascended, caused the other primordials to withhold any aid they may have given. Thus, Sorel fell from grace. And his body became the scourge known as voideus. Restrained only by darque’s hold over the realm that the watcher once called his own. His soul, becoming corrupted by voideus into the being known as Darkness. Those two beings wandered the multiverses for millennia in their separate forms, until a mere few decades ago. Drawn both into the first conflict for the crucible: Darkness, having regained the memories of the watcher, forced a merge with voideus. Thus resulting in the long awaited rebirth of Sorel as a completely whole being. However…the absence of the devourer leaves a power vacuum others rush to fill. What are your overall goals? What is it you wish to accomplish? At this point, Sorel merely wishes to repent for what destruction voideus raged on reality, while fulfilling his original purpose. However, this goal may yet change. Anything else? (anything at all that you feel should go here) Like voideus and almera, Sorel has his own sigil. http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/123/1/5/sorel_by_grandsword-d7h1uv0.png Password: Amitermes Meridionalis
