M creates five spears around him, each one of them flying towards each lion. Then, he commands his dragon to fly high into the air, and then dives topwards Spiculus, assuming Eubeal's first attack didn't work. If it did, the dragon just pounces on a random lion, instead.

M being on a dragon probably makes him immune to being pounced on by lions. Otherwise, or if Spiculus' trident is headed towards him, he simply creates a blue shield / forcefield, stopping the attacker.
