Emma had tried to get out at least twenty times, she had managed to push away the snow but the winds proved too much for her. It wasn't until she realized just how impossible leaving would be that she gave up. She wasn't particularly good at thinking things through. Normally she wouldn't have cared that she was stuck at school, it wasn't a big deal, she had found out some pretty interesting things about the teachers the last time she got stuck, of course she eventually left, she didn't end up spending the night last time. This was different, Emma had lost contact with her friend Sara, who she was supposed to meet at the park. If Sara and her brother ended up getting stuck there, Emma was never going to forgive herself or her dumb sister who forgot to call or text her and let her know that she went home with a friend. . Now, she was sitting cross-legged, back against a wall. Her face turned up towards the ceiling, There were probably other people at school with her but she couldn't bring herself to find them. She was tired of people and possibly also tired in general. She was so focused on the ceiling and her thoughts that she almost didn't notice someone trying to open the door. It was that guy from Japan, they hadn't ever talked before but she had seen him around and her friends had talked to him. His name was like Kat or Kaz or something like that. It seemed like he hadn't noticed her or decided to ignore her, Emma didn't care either way but, despite the fact that she had told herself she was tired of people, she decided she would talk to him. "Even if you could get out, you wouldn't. Winds too fast, snows too deep and its colder than a polar ice cap. You're Kaz, right?" Emma stood up and held out a hand for him to shake, "My name is Emma, its nice to finally talk to you. I thought it was pretty cool that even boring Northlane could have a foreigner, but I'm sure everyone else feels the same." She had her best winning smile on, if she was going to be stuck at school she might as well get to know the people stuck with her.
