[B]Personality:[/B] Desmond is a kind and caring individual, often putting the needs of others before his own. Specifically the needs of his Pokemon, as he shows more kindness towards them than anyone else, considering his faithful companions to be family through thick and thin. Able to help him overcome most obstacles in life. Generally, Desmond appears as collected, and intelligent. His knowledge of both the land and the Pokemon in it shows he had been dedicated in his quest for knowledge before taking off on his own adventure. He has set goals in his mind for what he wishes to do, but knows that he is not talented enough to tackle said goals yet; Leaving him to try and improve his skills at any change he got, though not if the circumstances bothered him, as he dislikes putting himself and his Pokemon in danger when it isn't necessary, though when in the moment, he can, and has, made reckless decisions.

Desmond's quirks come mostly with interacting with those around him; He can come off as awkward at times, and is easily embarrassed and flustered by compliments and flirtatious comments, often leaving him stuttering or completely speechless. He can be talked in circles by more talkative individuals, often easily pulled into situations that don't involve him. Though because of his kind nature, he usually finds himself not backing out and rather trying to help find a solution. Even if it proves to make his life more difficult.

[B]Background:[/B] Desmond was born to a lab aide and a nurse, in -Insert Region Here-. He was raised spending most of his days either with Pokemon when he went with his mother to help at his hometown's local Pokemon Center, or studying about them when he went with his father to he and his comrade's small Pokemon research lab. As such, he was a smart boy at a young age. By the age of 9 he had already had most of the information necessary for a trainer crammed into his head; Types, Statuses, the effects of certain berries and how they could be useful when you lack man-made supplies. Among other tidbits of information that would be helpful. Though he didn't feel ready to go out yet, instead, he retreated to studying more; Up until the age of 15, where he finally obtained his first Pokemon; a Mareep whom he named Fluff.

Desmond traveled, continuing his studies on the road while also becoming a decent trainer. His intelligence allowed for him to craft strategies on the fly, and come out on top during more than one occasion. He has met a few faithful companions on his quest so far, though hasn't done much in the way of making a name for himself. He is only known by a few individuals, one of which being his friendly region-travelling rival; A red-haired young woman by the name of Ramona Ridges, who specializes in dual-type Water Pokemon.

Even at this moment, Desmond isn't exactly sure where he's going, but knows there'll be experiences waiting for him wherever he ends up. And he'll [S]hopefully[/S] be ready for them...

Name: Fluff
Level/Age: 25
Gender: Female
Met: At Level 5, Fluff was caught by Desmond's father and given to him as his first Pokemon. She started off rough with Desmond, but over time she has grown close to him, the two becoming like siblings. They can sometimes end up bickering over either how slow Desmond can be, or how willing to fight Fluff always is, their disagreements never harming their relationship.

Name: Klauser
Level/Age: 24
Gender: Male
Met: As a Zubat, at Level 7. In a cave Desmond ended up traveling through. Desmond and Fluff were surprised by the Zubat's sudden attack as they traveled through the cave, but managed to win a battle against it, ending in Desmond catching it. After training and evolving Klauser into a Golbat, the kindness he had shown towards the Pokemon caused it to later evolve into Crobat.

Name: Pip
Level/Age: 22 (Acts like a little puppy, even if he evolved into a bigger form.)
Gender: Male
Met: As a Lillipup, at Level 10. Desmond found the poor thing sick and starving beside a Pokemon Center. He took the Pokemon under his wing and brought it back to health, but didn't add him to the party at first due to it being loyal to the trainer that abandoned it. Desmond, with the help of the Lillipup and the local townsfolk, found the owner and ended up battling him and his Purrloin with the help of Pip. After winning, Pip became one of Desmond's Pokemon, and follows him loyally wherever he goes.
