Hm. I like that idea. My character is half Kusagi, so perhaps he could have traveled over there and found his "family" spirit and bonded with it. It'd be cool. Or.. perhaps the spirit found him, if all other members of the bloodline were deceased? I dunno. What d'you guys think? If you want to work something in between our characters, Cruiser, we could definitely do that. :)EDIT:Also, a question directed to our GM/Co-GM;What exactly the Church of Aer? Like, what do they believe in - which Gods, or God? What do they enforce? How? Is there elements of the Church all throughout the continent, from Cathedrals to small Parishes? Priests? Religious Crusaders?I don't believe you went into it in the OP - unless you did, and I missed it, in which case I apologize.
I touched on it a bit on my character sheet. The Church of Aer is pseudo Catholicism. They believe in a single God that created the world, and it is spread over all of varisie and a majority of the Western City States. There is a sizable population in Kusagi, but the majority of Kusagi have a different religious. The Wetlands are not influenced by the church at all. The clergy in general are not very fond of summoners and magic, and require all summoners to be registered at their local Church or Cathedral. This is enforced by their own elite group of summoners known as 'Inquisitors' who use advanced training and powerful spirits to hunt down and capture/eliminate rogue summoners(any summoner not registered in Varisie or the City States is considered rogue). Inquisitors are generally exclusively from Varisie and are distinguished by their black armor and metal masks (I will update the op momentarily). As far as establishments, there are churches, parishes, and cathedrals all over varisie and the city states and a majority of the people from these areas at least loosely believe in Aer.
