Julian walked up next to Sophia and looked inside the cave. He had no idea something so ordinary could be so unfamiliar and strange. The sound of indistinct Christmas music caught his attention and drew him in. He walked in and slowly approached the Christmas tree. It was wrapped in multi-colored lights which seemed to be powered without an outlet. He reached out his hand and touched the needles gingerly. It seemed real enough though. The air was warmer as though a fireplace was heating the atmosphere.
