Heavy boots clanking against the tile floors of the hallway, Jay was calmly walking through the school. She had stopped to sketch the snow falling as she looked through a classroom window when she realized the amount of snow that was building up was severe. She knew they were snowed in after trying several of the fire exits with no success. Jay believed she was alone, until a little perky voice rang over the PA system. Jay stood still for a moment, pondering whether to go and see just how many others were stuck here also. Jay played wit her dreads, winding them around and around as to keep them from loosing form. With a shrug of hr shoulders, Jay thought she might as well go meet the others because there is no telling how long they'd be here. As she approached the cafeteria she saw a few classmates, but not many she had ever spoke to in her I entire life. Jay walked int the cafeteria without saying a word. She smiled at a girl, the one whom she assumed spoke over the PA system, then she sat down at a table and crossed her legs up into her lap like a pretzel. The red flannel shirt she wore was a little thin, and she was getting colder by the minute. Jay rubbed her hands on her arms, attempting to warm herself. She watched her surroundings before pulling her red sketch notebook from her black shoulder bag and working on her sketch of the snow falling she started earlier.
