If your parents got you Gameboy games by the time the DS lite was out... and if you're 13 now, which would mean you got the system about 4-5 years ago... would the Gameboy games already be used? Where did they get them if there are no used game shops near you?

Buying used merchandise off the internet ([i]especially[/i] from a trusted site like Amazon) isn't dangerous; it's economical. Especially when you want to [i]casually[/i] purchase old video games and not add them to some collection of mint condition poke-merch. 

Also I know you learned about Pokemon games thanks to Creepypasta but I'm here to tell you that Creepypasta [i]is fiction[/i]. 

You won't get some haunted cartridge delivered to your house if that's what you're worried about.

Unless you're worried that some guy shoved the thing up his rectum in which case it probably won't play on your system anyway. (And it's also unlikely. Who would do such a thing to a Pokemon game???)
