Anxius scowled at the rabbit as it hopped away. If it had not been for that cursed Hissatsu, the rabbit would have been nothing more than a snack to him. The fact that such a lowly prey had defeated him, Hissatsu or not, was humiliating. If this incident had occurred back home, he would never have been able to fully regain his honor. His mood drooped as memories of home came crawling back. He shook his head and tried to push the thoughts out of his mind. He let out a sigh and glanced at Malacia. Still she watched him with a gaze of worry. He regretted snarling at her earlier. He knew she was only trying to help, but he refused to sit around for days feeling like a cripple. Perhaps she would feel better once they arrived to their destination. He gave her a curt nod and began following the wolf out of the clearing, Malacia trailing close behind.
