Name:The Forsaken
Location: The Mojave Wasteland

History:The forsaken started as legion slaves based out of Arizona, in a NCR operation that went horribly a NCR colonel named Willard was captured and enslaved, Colonel Willard was a man of words and he seemed to have a way of speaking that could convince people into following him into hell itself. This led him to a postion of authority and respect with the other slaves, a majority of whom were female troopers who were more than happy to support Willard and he began planning. Within two weeks he and the others were ready. With the help of one of the slaves they slipped off their collars and struck, first they took the munitions tent arming themselves and cutting the legion off from a majority of their weapons, the battle ended quickly after that They looted the camp and left leaving behind a empty husk.

By the time Caesar found out it was too late, the slaves had slipped into the wastes and disappeared. The newly freed slaves were facing a new problem and that problem was freedom, Willard gave them all a choice. Stay and fight, or take some food and water and return home. A small group did leave some had a home waiting for them, some had no choice in the matter as Willard sent away the pregnant and the ill. Armed and ready those who stayed went to war, to the legion they were like ghosts appearing at one camp and striking quickly before disappearing and attacking another. This freed many slaves, but it also gained the attention of Caesar and his generals they planned and decided it was time to put down the slave revolt.
 
Diverting a small part of his legion into the Arizona desert, Caesars legion hit them like a storm. Fighting broke out all across the Arizona wasteland and desperate Willard reached out to the NCR, who refused opting instead to chase ghosts in Baja. Before the legion The Forsaken crumbled and together with Willard, fled Arizona into the Mojave, others were not so lucky and were enslaved once more. Willard blamed the NCR for his defeat, but said nothing as they disappeared into the Mojave, settling in Mount Charleston not far from Jacobstown. It was here where Willard realized they were used as a means to slow the legion and when they outlived their use they were abandoned, swearing off his NCR roots he dubbed his new group The Forsaken a name many wore with pride.

The newly dubbed Forsaken spent their time licking their wounds and recruiting anyone who would aid them in their plight. Deserters, outcasts, and former slaves found their way into the ranks of The Forsaken. During this time The Forsaken took up jobs for the people around the wastes. Dealing with raiders, freeing slaves, and dealing with the occasional group of critters earned them enough caps to enter a trade deal with the gun runners, giving them a steady supply lf weapons and ammo. As the batle for Hoover dam approached the NCR approached Willard asking for the groups help on the dam, they offered a large sum of money in exchange. But not wantint to be used once more he refused and the NCR took it as a slap in the face, but they didn't seem to do anything about it. After the battle, the Forsaken flourished as the NCR was to weak to do much of anything people approached the group asking them to find loved ones or deal with other problems. The Forsaken were more than happy to oblige for the right amount of caps, now with a reason to return The Forsaken came back to Arizona striking out at separate bands of the now fractured legion, freeing slaves as they went. Things changed when Willard met Gaius, a legion centurion who wished to join the group on their plight, but first to prove to Willard he would be loyal he had Gaius kill every legionary in the camp and he obeyed without question, earning him a spot as The Forsakens second in command. 

With Gaius' help other legion warbands fell quickly, their tactics rendered useless by the information given to them from Gaius. Which meant large groups of slaves were freed, and legion supply lines suffered. Content with the damage they caused The Forsaken returned to the Mojave.

Things went sour, when the NCR saw the amount of power the group was securing they grew worried and they needed to do something about the group. The tried talking but Willard refused, so they gained his attention by taking a squad of Forsaken prisoner, thinking this would bring him to the table. But it backfired horribly when Willard refused once more they threatened execution for the squad. But instead of talking Willard acted and struck the facility holding the prisoners and freed them, this escalated with the NCR attacking and destroying a outpost formed from the ruins of cottonwood grove, which led to full blown battles in the street between the two. The fighting ended when the NCR brought in Rangers who proceeded to crush their holdings in Novac and Vegas leaving the Forsaken cut off. This led Willard to the table and a ceasefire was formed and a uneasy peace was reached.

Following the battle with the NCR, The Forsaken didn't stop what they were doing but they avoided NCR owned settlements like they had the plague. Instead they began to help unaligned settlements deal with things and help them remain unaligned. Eventually the NCR took notice but it was already too late to do anything about the groups rise except send agents to watch and report back to the NCR if they acted openly against them, a few agents were seen through and sent back but a few are within the group and at least one had become a personal confidant to Willard himself. And latest reports, are that the group has gone quiet but is amassing a large sum of caps for something.
