It's funny to hear that the more popular game was actually the knockoff, and it is kind of dickish of them to try and cancel his trademark (Which really shouldn't fuck him over as hard as he is playing it), but I don't feel sorry for the dev here. The clone excuse doesn't really work when both games are just flavored versions of the match-three game-type which has existed for a very long time. They may have stolen the candy shtick (Which is stupid, cause it really isn't all that great of a theme anyways), but that was not a major factor in the rise of CandyCrush's popularity. If Ransom had developed it for facebook and not android, he might had a shot at grabbing the spot that King got, but he didn't and that is too bad. By this point I'd assume most of CandySwipe's fanbase came from riding on the tail of CandyCrush's rise, so even though his game existed first, it is just another feeder.
