Ren grumbled as he made his way towards the restaurant it was too early and he didn't feel like getting lectured but if he refused to go or just didn't show up then [i]he[i] would only be more of a pain in the ass. Ren had a very strange appearance for a Japanese person so most people remember him and many feared him for this reason because they knew he was dangerous and had a very extensive underground network making him akin to a "mob boss", Ren of course found this amusing and annoying after all he preferred not to be associated with such pathetic filth. "Speaking of filth..." Ren mumbled as he approached the restaurants doors, he knew that, deep down the man who always lectured him really did care about him and even deeper down he knew he cared about him too but he needed to keep him safe. Ren knew his world was far too dangerous for someone so innocent and because of this he avoided talking about his work and tried to meet with him as little as possible because then the people lining up for Ren's head wouldn't him. he'd be [i]safe[i]. Ren was so close to the restaurant now, so close that he could see inside the window and for a moment he let himself slip, they hadn't meet in roughly a month and Ren knew he'd get hell for that but he had been...preoccupied... A light dusting of pink made itself present on Ren's cheeks, hidden by his hood from the world but he could feel the heat of his cheeks causing them to redden more out of embarrassment, his smile was always Ren's favourite thing about him. Ren cursed under his breath and rid himself of such thoughts along with the blush, he couldn't fall for him or his stupid charming smile because then he'd get hurt and Ren would lose him just like his father, just like his mother and just like Ryouko, if he lost him too Ren didn't think he could cope with it anymore and he may need to do what Ryouko had called 'go away for a long while'. Shaking off the bad thoughts and memories Ren pulled himself together and grasped the door handle and pulled it back, entering the restaurant. Once inside Ren found the restaurant relatively crowded and stood awkwardly unsure of what to do, he usually greeted Ren and dragged him off to a table. Ren checked his watch 'Am I early? No i'm actually late if anything. Maybe he's not working today...No that doesn't make sense,' as Ren pondered the location of the object of his secret affections his mind slowly began to stray into darker territory, 'Is he hurt? Was I followed?!' Ren started to panic he knew he was being ridiculous in the rational part of his brain but right now he wasn't listening to his more reasonable thoughts, all he could focus on was the fact that he had orchestrated a perfect placement of circumstances that resulted in the deaths of 3 people a week ago and now he hadn't been there to greet Ren, with that stupid freaking smile on his stupid freaking face. Ren took a deep yet shaky breath and calmed himself down, the entire time he'd been panicking his emotionless expression never changed but he assumed everything had been visible in his eyes, his clouded blue eyes, he's been so jaded in this life that even his eye colour represented his stained self. Ren looked up when he heard a sound, annoyance present on his face along with a tinge of that fear in his eyes.
