*One...two...three...* There was a loud crunch as Jack brought the rock down, hard, onto his left ring finger. Pain shot up his hand and into his arm as he shattered the bones in his finger. Whilst the skin was not broken black bruising was already rushing to the surface of his skin and he was losing feeling in the finger entirely. Throwing the rock back into the shop he had got it from he then placed his hand over the broken digit and slowly ran his hand down it. A warmth drifted into the injury and after a few seconds he pulled his hand away to reveal a perfectly functioning ring finger where his damaged one had been only moments ago. This was simply a past time now, at first Jack had loved the warmth but now, now it simply killed the time he spent waiting. He hadn't been sleeping well recently and whilst this didn't help it certainly made the night pass quicker. However now was a time to find a resting spot, not pass the time. He could do that later. Standing he dusted the dirt off of his arse and checked the blue skinny jeans for any rips or tears. Satisfied with his check he zipped up the dark brown jacket and slipped his hands into his pockets as he meandered off into the woods, his backpack had never left his shoulders during the time sat down. The petrol station had been right on the edge of the city and the attached shop had been one of the first to be attacked by the blades. It took Jack a few minutes to find where he had camped the night before. It was a simple lean too created by a tree that had fallen a while ago and whilst it was cover Jack had been freezing. He had heard running water whilst he was camping that night and was determined t find it's source. He was always in need of a good drink. Climbing down some treacherous mud banks he came to a small stream, hidden away by foliage. There was no where open to camp however a number of the trees had grown into each other and grabbing a couple of branches he hauled himself up, there was no cover however now he had located water he was simply looking for campfire. He was tired of squatting in nature and was in desperate need of some company, lest he go mad soon. He knew people were around it was just a matter of finding them. *C'mon...there has got to be someone out there.*
