####_Premise_:
 _Early on (specifically, around the 1700's) magic was discovered. When it was found to be incompatible with modern science, study of the art was nearly lost, until World War I rolled along. It was then discovered that for some reason or another, magic at its very core was tied inexplicably to bladed weapons of all kinds. The powers and abilities displayed by the magic enhanced cavalry and blades-men opened the eyes of many people. _

_Over three hundred years have passed since then, and study into the 'Magic of Blades' or as the scientific community likes to call it 'Blade Impulse Phenomena' has developed into a worldwide interest, with many people placing a lot of money into its research potential. One fundamental discovery is that it was easier to develop magic during puberty. Because of this, high schools heavily dedicated to teaching teenagers how to use their abilities were founded. One particular academy, set in between the border of England and Scotland,is of special interest to the international community: For it is here that the greatest known Blade Master. ####_Extra Notes_:
The school follows a ranking system to promote competitive development among the student body. The higher your rank is, the better the facilities you can use. The rankings go from rank 0 - 9 - there can be an unlimited number of rank 0 - 8's, but only one rank 9. 
Rank 0 facilities are fairly standard; comfortable, but plain - this applies to the dormitories as well. Rank 8 dormitories are comparable to 3 star hotel suites. The rank 9 is a whole luxury house. 

Ranks go up by performance and not necessarily battle strength, although that does play a part. You can move up in rank using solely grades, or through official duels, but to reach ranks 7 - 9 you need a good record of both.

The current rank 9 is Lance Hieroth, an Avatar Summoner and sword user.
