Which only adds to the terror when GM's character is someone from a country with strict gun laws somehow ending up in the US Army after being arrested for gang-related violence. Not only does that system not exist anymore, but I don't think you can really *do* that (unless French Foreign Legion), and about everyone has a habit of background checks for stuff like that.
