I haven't been on rperguild in a little while, and lo and behold, when I do return turns out I need to register again :( All my history, gone (maybe for the best :hehe )! BUT, putting that aside, I would love to do an SnK roleplay. I'm not sure how many people in advanced are down with Attack on Titan but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. Now, these ideas would be heavily dependent on whether or not people are familiar with the SnK manga, or just the anime (Note: frequently switch between calling it SnK and AoT. I like it both ways.) Anyway, I'm going to present some very general ideas, for the manga readers, and for the anime watchers. They will be very short summaries until I can see what the general consensus is. Then I'll flesh everything out. I've already read the manga out till the very latest issue and watched all of the anime. I'll have the manga ideas in spoiler tags for those who are not up to yet (if there are any spoilers at all. I'll try to be very general). :btw I am only open to accepting up to ten rp'ers who would be able to have up to two characters at most, starting out, and more later on if its even needed. That's a potential twenty characters, so it is quite A LOT. The ideas I don't like, but am willing to role with. This is for both manga and anime, but contains no spoilers, just a general idea. This idea circles around us rping as the actual characters of the series after the latest issue/episode of the manga/anime (meaning it could go two very different ways depending on if there are more anime or manga readers). This is VERY general because I can only make a plot depending on what people like, and if we choose anime, then I would be tempted to steer the plot in the direction of the manga (I would try not too, though!). I don't like this one, because I don't like people fighting over, or being unhappy with the characters they've been given, and I don't like when people are unhappy with being unable create their own characters. Also there are some seriously powerful characters in this series, I'm not sure I'm comfortable having people have, since the series itself highlights weakness and the inability to prevent tragedy. My Favorite Idea We create Original Characters! Yayyyyy! Plot: We're a new set of cadets in our first to fourth years of training, meaning our characters vary in ages from 11 to 14, though I suspect most will go for the elder ages, which is understandable. These are the 105th, 106th, 107th, and 108th Trainee Squads. None of them will have a top ten, as they are all just starting out in their respective years of training. This means that if the 105th had made it to the end of the year, they would have been ranked a top ten. But that's not going to happen. The students are, one by one, being randomly picked out to fill up the desperately needed spots in the dwindling numbers of Stationary Guards and Survey Corps...You're lucky if you get picked for the Stationary Guards...but those are not our characters. The odds were not in our favor. (Sorry I had to do it.) All of our characters will have been picked for the Survey Corps. All of them had the potential to be top tens...and that's why they were picked. This is all under the orders of Military Leader Darius Zackly, who could give less than two you know whats for the King's Military Police. All he cares about is knowing the Stationary Guards have enough people to fool the common citizens into believing that they are protected, and that Survey Corps have enough skilled people o continue divulging into the mysteries of the Titans. And that is your faith. That is why you were picked. Darius Zackly sought out your instructors, asked who were the strongest, and had you all placed in the Survey Corps. Supposedly kidnapped in the middle of the night, you disappear and wake up finding yourself face to face with this majestic man who tells you, you have to serve in the Scouting Legion. Threatens you and you families, if you have any. And with no other choice, you accept. Your skills, which some of you had hoped would have allowed you to become a part of the Military Police, have instead caused you to be forcibly placed into the Survey Corps. Now this divides two ways:
We aren't immediately placed with the higher ups of the Survey Corps. Instead we get familiar with people like and Hange/Hanji (whatever floats your boat) and other Corps members, and are only able to admire Levi, Eren, and the rest of the gang from a distance. Then, three of us crop up with the ability to transform into Titans. Our group tries to keep it a secret for a small while, but end up being discovered and incorporated into a new Squad Levi composed of Levi, Eren and the remainders of the 104th Trainee Squad's top ten (and Armin). I haven't gotten much past this yet, because there will be a bit of a plot before we the three new shifters are discovered by Erwin or any other higher up who would care.

Once again, we aren't immediately placed with Squad Levi in their hideouts. This plot would be very similar to the anime one, in that our little group would discover three of us can morph into Titans. We would keep it a secret for as long as possible, before being discovered, probably by accident. Hange/Hanji would probably then oversee us for a while, (which would probably be an arc), and finally we would be introduced to Squad Levi and Eren. From there the plot will go on to focus on our adventure alongside them, and going beyond the Walls to discover more about Reiner, Berthold, and Annie, as well as more about the Titans.
IMPORTANT THINGS: 1. Only 3 out of possibly 20 characters will be Titan shifters. One of my characters will be a Titan Shifter, meaning only two spots are left open. I may bump this up if it seems unreasonable. 2. This rp will be dark. Not vulgarly dark, for example, no horrible triggers. But it should definitely be more mature. 3. No Japanese/Asian/Indian/Anything from the are of Asia, names. Remember, Mikasa is the last of the Oriental race (and she's mixed and we've never even seen a South Asian), but it would most likely break the logic of the manga to do such a thing. Anime/manga, yes, but it mostly deals with Caucasian characters. 4. For an anime, it is intensely realistic. Nonexistent hair and eye colors are out of the question. 5. I will rp the series actual main characters using another account of mine (if we need them), so things don't get confusing. If you need to, you the rpers can also NPC them, but for when they have in depth roles in a plot, I want to keep them separate from the account I'm using to rp my mains. So during those points, I will use another account.
Trainee Squads: 105th: 14 yrs 106th: 13yrs 107th: 12 yrs 108th: 11yrs
:btw if you've only watched the anime I implore you to read the manga. Its very interesting and as equally well written as it was animated (the anime was very spot on to the series). The only thing is Isayama isn't really a "professional" manga artist, in the sense that it seems his style is very much determined by inexperience at drawing. However, with each issue, he's gotten/getting better and better at clarifying his style, and I don't think it takes away at all from the manga. The text bubbles may get confusing at times, but I think it is written in a way so that most of the time, you can see the characters' faces. But that's just my two cents and nothing more!
