Suwako flailed about as she fell through the crevice; given the looks of the area, it was unlikely that Yukari was the one responsible for it's appearance. After all, all those creepy eyes that usually appeared in the gaps she made weren't there. It was just what seemed to be a neverending pit. "Mmm... This isn't as interesting as I thought it'd be-" she said to herself before her surroundings abruptly changed. Instead of being in that pit, Suwako was now freefalling at an incredible speed towards the ground. Letting a small "Eep!" escape her lips unconsciously, Suwako grabbed her hat with her left hand as she attempted to control her descent. Trying to focus, Suwako attempted to fly as she had usually done in Gensokyo. Moments passed, and nothing had changed. Well, that was unfortunate. Taken aback by this development, Suwako quickly recovered and attempted to form a cushion of water beneath her. She hadn't accounted for the constant shift in position, though, and the water ended up forming above instead of below her. Sighing, Suwako glanced at the rapidly approaching ground. Sand, sand and more sand. "It's... A desert...? I don't think there was a desert in Hell... Was there?" she thought to herself before noticing a figure clad in black directly on Suwako's projected collision course. "Incoming!" Suwako shouted at the top of her lungs as she tried to move away from impacting the person. Hitting a normal person at this kind of speed would all but kill them, which definitely wouldn't end up well for her in the long run. Of course, a youkai or something similar wouldn't have to worry... But she wasn't about to take that kind of chance. --------------------- Dio sat in silence in his dark room in the Shadow Eternity HQ, reading a novel he had procured from... Well, the location didn't really matter. Ever since he had arrived, Dio had been busy reading- about this world, his world, and... Other worlds. He was supposed to be dead, it seemed. Killed at the hands of Jotaro after getting caught in such an obvious trap... It annoyed him. He was a man who had power, knowledge and the resources to take the world... And he was bested by a mere high school student. Well, 'mere high school student' wasn't exactly right. The Joestars had a habit of getting in his way, time and time again. It seems like in his world, he was lucky to get away alive. But with his Stand unable to freeze time completely anymore and the state of Jotaro and his Stand, 'Star Platinum', still unknown to him, it seemed unlikely he would get away if they ever met again. He needed more power. To regain the full functionality of 'The World' and control time at his whims... If only. But without the blood of another Joestar that would never happen... And on his own fighting a Joestar would be akin to suicide. Now was not the time to fight, though- now was the time to recover become stronger. A small laugh escaped his lips as Dio continued reading. Pucci was as devoted as ever, it seemed. That meeting all those years ago had paid off, seeing as how he had defeated both Jotaro and his daughter and their allies. But that world was not his own. "I wonder... How he fares now...?" Dio asked out loud to nobody in particular before returning to his reading. ----------- Gintoki yawned lazily as he laid back on a couch, reading through an issue of Shonen Jump and eating a parfait as he waited around in what he assumed to be a lounge for UMMA members in Yggdrasil. It seemed like a place they'd end up relaxing in, after all- uptight, tidy, well-kept... But it's not like anybody was there to tell him off. After all, most of the others were off on jobs right now. Kagura and Shinpachi were off dealing with... Something else, so he ended up relaxing here. To be fair, a kotatsu was much more comfortable to him. Sitting underneath the covers of one on a cold day, eating tangerines and not having to do anything... It was one of the greatest pleasures in life. But it was summer for him, so relaxing in this permanently cool building seemed like the smart thing to do. "Ah." Gintoki immediately sprang forwards as he looked over the page he had been reading once more. That couldn't be... "No, why did you-? AAARGH!" he lamented as he slumped down in defeat. The author had just- There was no way that could've- "You're kidding me, right? You've got to be kidding, right?" he asked himself as he flipped to the next page. Nothing. That was it for the chapter. "What the hell kind of an ending was that?!" he shouted, tossing his hands in the air as he collapsed back onto the couch. "Geez... I swear these mangaka have it out for us readers half the time. You just don't pull that kind of ending on a guy..." he complained as he massaged his forehead.
