As soon as Raijin left the alleyway, he would see Cynthia standing inside one of the "payphone" booths in front of the store, which were used by people who hadn't bothered or couldn't connect their personal phone to the game. The booth was silenced, but not opaque, and he could see her talking, or rather yelling into the receiver. Her animated discussion ended with her slamming the phone back into it's cradle and shoving her way out of the alcove, where she abruptly saw Raijin and stopped, looking embarrassed.
