I'm interested in this, but have a question about the character I'd like to create. He was abandoned in the wild and grew up fighting to survive. There was one particular monster whose shadow he stuck to, feeding on its scraps until he could hunt for himself, and from this monster he developed a fighting style of his own. The other players could discover him while on a Hunt and bring him back so he can become a Hunter, but then he would develop a new weapon for himself. The basic idea of this weapon is that it is impact based, like the hammer, but its damage and movement style is more similar to the Dual Blades. They're Gauntlets, and they'd basically be oversized armored gloves, brass knuckles, claws, things like that. If it were in-game, the player would use boxing/martial arts style footwork and punches to attack while building up a meter similar to the Dual Blades and Longsword. When the meter reaches max, they'd hold a button (I think it's usually the R shoulder button that activates the longsword/DB meter) and input a button combination. While holding the meter button they'd stay in place, and after three button presses, if the combo was right they'd do a super attack, which uses up all the meter but does higher damage and inflicts a high level of exhaustion (like certain kinds of pellets/arrows) on the monster. Would this be okay?
