In that time, much has been established between the two cultures: including the final acceptance over the concept that finalized "Death Weapons" can no longer be created due to the lack of a witch's soul. Because of this, weapons would have to be entirely stuck in their premature stages for the duration of their life. However, this is not total condemnation for weapons. As it seems, the world is not without need for them, regardless of their condition. As time went on, mysterious creatures began to appear as manifestations of one's malicious intent and wishes. These beings were attracted to negative emotions and disturbingly fed off of them. Catching the world off guard, these creatures of darkness ravage cities and towns, killing thousands and causing twice as much in damage. Appropriately named, these creatures would become known as "The Creatures of Grimm" or simply "Grimm". Budgets were further put into place. Becoming a Meister became an occupation known to the world and despite paranormal skepticism, later accepted. Now, the career of being a Meister or Weapon has slowly crawled the ranks appearing in the military, colleges and even academies across the globe. Now with a new line of defense; hope and light began to resurface to the world. Children of witches, faunus and humans alike became a symbol of faith, being named with artistic intent to defend against the darkness that would bite away at their future. . and these children would evolve into fine warriors, leaders or contributions to the revolution against the creatures of Grimm. This is where your story begins: in an academy. Specifically, an academy known as "Vitus Academy" intended for future warriors and their partners between the ages of sixteen to twenty-three. Whether or not a long time attendee or a newbie, you and your partner better get geared up. You have some Grimm to fight and evil souls to collect. Best of luck to you! ### **Vitus Academy** ![enter image description here](http://img2.blog.zdn.vn/35052593.jpg "enter image title here")' A prestigious academy that is extremely difficult to gain admission to. Originally created with intentions to train future soldiers for the military, it later branched out into various fields including law enforcement and general defense. In order to gain access to the school, you must pass a serious and generally stressful exam that lasts for three days and tests you in several different areas: teamwork, ability in combat, intelligence and so on. Before attending Vitus, you must have had at least three years worth of experience either in the combat field or from attending another academy. This academy, being the most advanced in the United States and one of the most elite in the world, is only intended for those who intend to follow fighting as an occupation. The academy itself is only an option available to apprentices between the ages of sixteen and twenty-three with varied exceptions such as prodigies. There is no solid duration of time as to how long you are required to be entered in the academy, as you can graduate at anytime that you are able to collect ninety-nine evil souls or kill over and finish the Exit Exam with no lower than an 80%. There is a catch, however: you can only graduate at the same time as your partner. Similar to how the ages in the academy vary, so will ages with you and your partner. You may be seventeen and have a partner who is twenty-two, for example. There is no "levels" or "grades", everyone is treated as an equal with no upper or lower classmates. In order to work together to full potential, students must learn to get over racial prejudice towards each other in terms of human, faunus, witch or hybrid. The academy has a varied of functions, such as a cafeteria, swimming pool, library and so on. Generally, if you'd find it in an academy, you'd find it in here. The fields surrounding the academy offer a variety of sparring areas. Surprisingly, there is a small amount of classrooms found in the school as many students tend to spend time on the field than in the classroom, considering this academy acts more as a college than anything else. There are several extra-curriculum activities that are offered throughout the year. Like most academies, students live on campus. All dorms are co-ed and are shared among partners, regardless of age, race or gender. It is possible to live off campus if you are able to afford it and one of your partners is over the age of eighteen. This may be awkward or comfortable, depending on whether or not you met your partner prior to your arrival to the academy. Since the academy is on the east coast of the United States, it suffers from "mood swings" in terms of weather. Considering it is one of the most elite academies in the world, many students from around the world will be attending, so it is required to treat each other with the utmost respect. Though the academy comes with a variety of features, nothing is more interesting than the bulletin board. Throughout the year, it will be filled with a variety assignments for Grimm hunting, finding evil souls or anything tasks that a weapon and Meister may be used for. If you have any questions in regards to the academy, be sure to ask an administrator before arrival (meaning that you should ask me in PMs or in this thread). ### **Races** There a total of six available races to play in this Roleplay with distinct differences. Either can be weapon or Meister. Explanations can be found below. - **Humans:** The most ordinary race of all. Because of their past as a race and general arrogance in the world, they have tensions with both Faunus and witches, however, over the past hundred years or so, have become great friends with witchkind. Despite their overly ordinary abilities, they seem to be a race who believes in the impossible and has achieved many incredible and fantastic feats. - **Witches:** A race with magical potential. For centuries, they have been at odds with the human race, mainly those who chose the life of being a Meister or Death Weapon. Over the past hundred years or so, they have become great friends with humankind. Although witches are almost always female, it has become discovered in the past fifty years or so that males of the race also exist. Aside from being able to wield a weapon, witches are able to manipulate supernatural forces around them to utilize magic spells. Their spells are generally based on animal theme, their personality and traits. For this Roleplay, witches are restricted to casting spells based on animals, including the ability to morph into that animal and any three extra spell of the writer's choice. Though being treated with a stereotypical nature of being malicious and fearful, many Witches hold authority in religion and government these days. They have souls with purple hues. - **Faunus**: An idealistic race that is almost identical aside from one small change: they have characteristics of an animal. A full-bred Faunus may have two or three animalistic traits which could involve eyes, ears, nose, tails and so on. All Faunus have night vision and depending on their "base animal", enhanced senses such as quicker reflexes, better hearing and so on. - **Witch/Human Hybrid:** Created as the relations between a human and a witch. This hybrid is the most common and generally results in a child who is able to cast very basic spells. Like witches, these hybrids are able to cast magic theme-based around an animal, including morphing into said animal and being able to cast two additional spells of the users choice. - **Faunus/Human Hybrid:** Created as the result of relations between a human and a faunus. Hybrids tend to be more common than full-bred Faunus these days and cause the child to only develop only one animalistic trait that can be randomized (ex: a parent may be a bull faunus, while the child may develop a dog tail). They still have night vision and depending on what trait they develop, will result in whether or not they have heightened senses. - **Witch/Faunus Hybrid:** The least common hybrid, which is the result of relations between a faunus and a witch. Developing both traits of a faunus and a witch, they develop one animalistic trait which dominates which animal they are able to transform into via magic. They also have one additional magical spell related to their animal of the writer's choice. They will still have night vision and depending on what trait they develop, will result in whether or not they have heightened senses. ### **Rules** 1. Abide by all of the regular site rules. 1.
