I don't have a specific story in mind--was thinking politics in terms of fantasy politics that we make up ;)

Would love to do post-apocalypse with fantasy (post-apocalypse in a fantasy world, maybe?). Few caveats--I know I'm probably alone in this, but I really can't stand zombies. Let's come up with something creative that contributed to the end of the world. Magic got out of control? Or a different species took over? (aliens??) Or maybe humans super-fast-evolved into super-humans of some kind (I'm making tons of sense, I know). I'm open to any ideas.
