Phillip sighed.  "I can blind them with light to buy us time and burn them a bit if I bring out my spotlight, but that want only annoy them."  He flipped out his arm blade.  "I should be able to hold my own if I have to fight hand to hand.

Justin nodded his head as he panted.  "Yeah," he said, "but that kind of wore me out.  We'll have to walk the rest of the way."  He pointed.  "It's three kilometers that way."  Now that he'd caught his breath, he picked her up and jumped down from the tree.  "Come on.  We can rest there."
