Zeetah let himself drift in the river a bit farther downstream than he had intended. He was pretty close to the slums now, and the sun hung low in the sky, telling him that it was starting to get late. It would take him until late after sunset to navigate his way back to his cozy little alley, so he decided to just let the river carry him farther downstream, into the heart of the slums. As he passed under an enormous bridge, he heard a loud splash behind him. Turning around, he saw a strong-looking woman splashing and sputtering for a while before she swam deftly toward a small wooden wharf on the river bank. Zeetah thought to himself that he should probably stop drifting in the river now, too, and swam to the river bank. He looked around at the dank, rotting buildings lining the river and noted the slight haze hanging on the air in the narrow streets outlining the the untidy buildings. He had never been here before, but he was shocked to think of the contrast in wealth he had seen just today. He put that out of his mind as he went off in search of somewhere he could stay the night, suddenly remembering the mince pie he had stowed in his expansive mouth. He pulled it out and started to eat it with his hands as he walked toward a sign reading "`INN`", accidentally tripping over and apologizing to some Grey Guild workers who were bent over picking up some waste on his way.
