But now with ONI no longer looking over his shoulder, he'll have... a surprising view on everything, and will be... entertaining. > > > > > > History: Troy came from a military family. From a very early age, his father was the Devil incarnate, his mother, the Devil's henchman. Or henchwoman. His father was a former drill instructor after serving half his life as a Marine- his older brothers would follow in his footsteps. Just like his brothers, Troy was forced by their father to learn how to swim, how to fight, how to run, how to do everything as soldier needed to do from a really young age. He didn't get the experience of friends and family- his father made sure of that. They were more or less isolated, singled out, and his father taught him everything to become a soldier. That's his childhood. > > > > > > When he grew older, he passed his classes with flying colors, sweeping through school as if it were more distraction than anything. Naturally, he spent more time studying military concepts, strategies, weapons and vehicles. He didn't care for the latest movie that came out- but he jumped to research when a new weapon was released, or declassified. > > > > > > Before he even had the chance to finish applying for the Marines or the ODSTs, ONI snatched him, and he found his way into the higher ranking hierarchy of ONI. His mindset and abilities led him to have an active role, infiltrating ODST ranks and acting as an ONI operative, influencing them and commanding them where needed to ensure that ONI got what it wanted. He had just finished a mission when he returned to Reach; his debriefing and the briefing on the next was to be held on Reach. Beyond that, he didn't know anything. He had just landed down when the Flood started to infect sizeable populations, and so he raced to the armory- and suited up. > > > > > > Other:He's a big guy, and he's a really smart redneck. > > > > > > > > > A few problems with this sheet. For one thing, he's over-kitted. I don't think that lockpick gun exists in canon(if it does, please provide me a Halo Nation link), too many grenades, cut it down to about two or three(and specify the type!), it seems like he has an unusual amount of food and gear if he was heading back for nothing but a debriefing... Also, having a hnadgun, a DMR, and a Railgun is a bit excessive. > > Also, if I'm not mistaken, that's pretty clearly a MJOLNIR kit, and only Spartans can use those... > > > > Next, I can't accept a character without their personality written out. > > > > Lastly, _why_ did ONI pick him? How was he so smart? Why was his father such an asshat? What about him made him ideal for a high-profile infiltration operation? From the sound of it he's more the type that ONI would saddle with a desk job. > > A lockpick gun exists *today.* Why would it not exist in the future, where you might have to continue to open doors that may be locked? He could carry it himself- doesn't have to be military issue. > > He has the equipment he has because, as in the history thingy, he was landing at the military base as the Flood were beginning to take over. He was already there- he could grab all the supplies he needed while he was there. The railgun was going to be used for the opening post, and nothing more- he wouldn't keep it anyways, since it'd be added weight and ammunition would be far and few. More of a fun-gun for a really short time. > > His father was a soldier- why not make the kid? I didn't think I was writing an essay where I had cover every detail. I put something that's somewhat vague, so I can come up with it in the roleplay, when I'm inspired. > > If everything is supposed to be pure-canon, then sorry, didn't realize. I might have too much on my plate anyways, cause if I need to go back and edit half my app, then I'll probably drop out from too much load. Hey, if you don't wanna edit your app, that's on you. Thanks for submitting, anyway.
