Bio:
In the real world, Asuka was born on the far eastern side of Tokyo.  Her mother died when she was only six years old and her father was left to take care of her.  However, her father, a businessman and a belligerent and violent drunk, subjected Asuka to years of mental, and physical abuse and neglect.  At school, she never made any friends because she always avoided people and wore clothing to cover up her bruises and her scars, some...actually self inflicted.  She began to grow an imagination to escape the world she hated, thinking up characters and worlds of her own and drawing them in her sketchbook.  When Sword Art Online appeared, she finally had an outlet for her imagination.  Unlike herself, timid, shy, and afraid of nearly everything, Asuka's character Vega is strong, brave and rather cheerful and hearty.  In a sense...Asuka only wishes she could be like her character....
