Sorry if it's pretty short. Wanted to create an emptier character for once, to see how much I can grow him in a more episodic RP.

Gender: Male Age: 22 Appearance: A young, effeminate man, Kakei stands at 5'4 with a slim build that makes it rather clear that he's not a samurai nor any type of manual laborer. Indeed, inspection of his hands would reveal that this young adult hadn't worked a single day of his life. His hands are soft and his muscles appear to be lacking, no signs of puberty at all. A lax person, Kakei holds himself in a careless, slow manner, movements halfway between gracefulness and laziness. Outside of his pale complexion, he's a standard Oriental man, with black, medium-length hair and dark brown eyes, often clothed in somber dark blue colors, unlike the fanciful, colorful clothing of the Occident. Personality: A man who gives off the aura of a poet or a writer, one of the finer arts, Kakei is a subdued person unaccustomed to revealing what's on his mind. For most, showing emotions is a sign of weakness, but for Kakei, he simply has no emotions to show. It's not to say that he's particularly apathetic, simply that in situations where others may find exciting, he'd simply smile slightly and nod along. He doesn't choose his words carefully, yet often gives off such an impression, as his words always come out in a measured manner. Overall, most people think of him as a sophisticated, well-mannered young person, but on the inside, he's just an unmotivated person who does most things out of obligation, not personal interest. Prior History: Some time ago, Kakei Maruhama was the eldest son of a family who once served the Emperor. His childhood was spent grooming him for his future path in life, and he spent most of his days in the family mansion, being taught by tutors and only associating with the commonfolk if it was a necessity. Playing with servants or his siblings stunted his ability to make social interactions with strangers, and thus, he became a rather quiet person. His path in life was already decided, and he had no opinion simply because there was no point in having one. It didn't matter, after all. Like that, he lived on, until one day, his family fell out of favour with the Emperor, and suddenly, all the training in his childhood became useless. Now, he's just a freeloader living off his family's wealth, doing whatever he wants even though he's never quite sure exactly what he wants to do. At this point, his parents, who had found new employment with a rich Occident businessman, has no idea what to do with their eldest son as well, and now simply hope that he could marry a respectable, wealthy woman. Likes: Kakei doesn't know what he likes enough that he would go out of his way to seek those things. While he certainly enjoys tranquil places and occassionally chatting with others, he's also fine with being alone for a long time. Dislikes: Outside of general fears such as heights and insects, Kakei doesn't have much that he dislikes either, though he does find it slightly annoying to be in the presence of people who are the polar opposite of himself: that is, a disagreable, unpleasant, argumentative person. Dreams: Interestingly enough, Kakei does have a dream. But it is a whimisical, fanciful one that is impossible to achieve, and thus, he doesn't speak of it very often.
