Robert was making small talk with some people he recognized from his lawyer days... and he now had a large amount of money, and some fancy rings and watches! He stored them in his pockets, as well as the silver remote to unlock the safe. He was enjoying himself much more now than he did when he was one of these guys in the suits. Granted, not all of these people were horrible... But a lot of them were here to make sure the Taylor family knew who their friends were, and kept them out of trouble when they bend a few rules. Typical in this day and age, right? While he was down here enjoying the party Little John and a few of his trusted men were upstairs working hard to get in to some personal accounts of people working for Jason Taylor and his crew... Little John was still up there waiting for Rob to press the button, but he didn't want to leave just yet... He still needed his dance with the very beautiful blonde. There was a tap on his shoulder, and he turned to see Marian, and he gave a white smile. "I was just thinking the same thing, Miss Anderson." He took her hand, and escorted her out on to the dance floor. He put one hand on her waist and held her other hand. He held her close, and began to dance. "The Taylors seem like an interesting bunch... Having a fundraiser when they clearly don't need it, wearing very expensive suits, and pretending he cared about my business." Robert said quietly, then he shook his head. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't speak poorly of the host but... I can't stand it when people care more about money than the good hearted people out there... And this party did get me the opportunity to meet you." Robert gave her a playful grin. He didn't want to talk more about this for now. He was dancing with a beautiful girl! "Excuse me, Mister Smith?" Robert turned his head a bit, and his eyes went wide in shock. In a nice suit was a very muscular man with short blonde hair and dark blue eyes. It was his best friend and second-in-command John Little, or "Little John" He gave a smile to Marian and a small glare behind his mask at Robert. "I'm sorry sir, but remember that client we were talking with earlier, well we are going to miss our chance if we wait any longer." John said to him. Robert kept dancing with Marian. "The night is still young, Mister Jones. I'm sure the client will still be around after this dance. Some things are more important than money." He said casually. "I would agree with you... John... But when this money helps many lives, I'm sure a small dance can wait." "Oh but you don't understand, Miss Anderson was going to leave after this little dance, and i'll never know when i'll see her again." Rob and John went back and forth, John getting mad, and Robert still trying to enjoy the dance while he still could. "Ro-- John, we should really meet with the client before we lose our chance. Now." Robert sighed and looked over at him as if saying "You're killing me here." He then turned to look at Marian. "I'm sorry, Miss Anderson, but sadly duty calls..." He pulled out Jason Taylor's keys and pressed the button. "Would you mind bringing these back to Mister Taylor, and tell him thanks for the donation?" He handed her the keys. "We'll meet again." He gave a cheeky grin, and one of his green eyes winked at her through the mask before Robin Hood and Little John made their way quickly out of the ball room and in to the elevator. -------- "you ruined my only chance." Robert said flatly as Robert took off the mask. Little John shook his head. "Rob, I know you like the girl, but if she ever found out who you really are, do you really think she would just forget all you did before?" "I'm not that guy anymore, John--" "I know you aren't man, but you're being reckless with this all. you pretty much confirmed that you were Robin Hood in disguise! What's going to stop her from alerting everyone and getting busted before we even hack the system!" Robert looked over at him with a smile. "She won't tell. Trust me." The elevator doors opened and immediately a member of the Merry Men tossed Robert a duffle bag. Inside was his other suit. He didn't want to make it look like John Smith was a "bad guy" after all. He was back in his green vigilante suit, and they were walking in to the office of Jason Taylor. The vault was opened, and inside was a laptop with his personal accounts and information. Robert smiled, and then turned to Will Stutely, the best hacker in the group. "We only got a few minutes before the alarms go off, then we have to go." Will said, reaching for the laptop. Robin slung his bow over his shoulder, getting ready to take everything and run as soon as Will gave the ready. After a few thousand clicks per second, and a few minutes later, Will cheered. "We're good! The money is out!" Robin smiled behind his black handkerchief. "Leave a few hundred in there. Courtesy of the Merry Men." Just as he said that the alarms started to go off. "Show time!" And with that, Will, Little John, and Robin raced for the elevator. The elevator music played softly as all of them disguised were sitting there quietly. "Wait... shouldn't we have taken the stairs?" Robin asked. Will and John looked at each other with wide eyes, and just then the elevator dinged and the doors opened to the ballroom, and some security guards standing there. Little John went in to action. He kicked a guard in the stomach and Robin took out his bow and smacked a man across the face with it. The three of them rushed out, pushing people out of the way while more officers and Jason Taylor was screeching at them. "HE'S HERE! GET THE THIEF! GET HIM!" Robin leapt over a table of sandwiches, and knocking over a glasses of wine. The three of them then made their way towards the door, and slammed it shut. Little John grabbed a piece of rope holding some curtains back and tied it around the door knobs. He was sure they will get through that eventually, but anything to buy them time. The three ran towards a window, Will grabbed a tool to cut the window from a duffle bag, and Robin pulled out a little tool used to shoot a grappling line. Another awesome piece of technology made by the Merry Men crew. He fired the bolt at a lower building, and each one attached themselves to a zip line harness (which was a handle and a rope to attach themselves to). Will started to first, then Little John, and just as Robin was about to go, the doors burst open. Robin gave them an elegant bow, and then jumped out the window. They landed on the opposite building, and with a clean cut to the rope, they ran a couple of blocks to get to their get away car. They were home free... for now.
