[i]Well, isn't this fun?[/i] Alto thought as he slammed into the ground.

He felt his back collide with the cold tile floor of the hallway, but the pain stopped spreading almost immediately, replaced with some sort of numbness. He heard Nuul chuckling in his mind, and his laughter seemed to make all the world more... Amusing.

Nuul's laughter intensified as Alto was dragged away by the Child of Light, and Nuul practically roared with laughter as the other boy upended a bucket of water onto his assailant's head.

[i][b]"Amusing. So, very, amusing."[/b][/i] Nuul spoke in his mind.

Alto couldn't help but agree. And as the Child of Light began to display his true colours, he couldn't help but laugh to himself.

[i]This is all too good.[/i] He thought darkly.

As his sentiments mirrored Nuul's own, he felt the distinction between his thoughts and Nuul's weaken until they were almost the same thing. The edges of his vision darkened as he and Nuul mixed, and their voices became as one.

[b]"You are all so amusing."[/b] Alto said, his voice seemingly soft but impossible to miss.

Their little spat had gathered a crowd now, but that didn't matter in the slightest.

[b]"You are far too easy to taunt,"[/b] He said to the girl, who now seemed to be almost burning with an inner flame. [b]"I know you are rather impatient, but I at least expected some challenge."[/b]

Then he turned to the boy who had dumped the bucket of water on her head.

[b]"And you,"[/b] Alto said. He noticed the boy seemed to have an unseen light, making him brighter than his surroundings but there was no direct illumination, simply perception that made him stand out. [b]"You possess the voice of a saint, yet you speak as any normal man. Why would you sqaunder such a gift? Surely you should be better than that."[/b]

Then he noticed the other two, the Child of Water and the Child of Earth. They seemed to want to assist, but Alto most certainly didn't want that.

[b]"Your assistance would be unwelcome,"[/b] He said to them. [b]"Chaos is my directive, do not interfere."[/b]
