Autumn jumped at the sudden voice that rang out. She glanced up before hesitantly looking over the food selection. She put a few chicken fingers on her plate, nibbling on one. She didn't feel all that hungry though and so she mostly sipped on her water and kept her eyes down. She would occasionally peek up at the others but then she would look back down again. Mary in the mean time was calling Autumn names and teasing her, trying to get a rise out of the little girl and make her stop ignoring her. Nothing irritated Mary more than being ignored. Autumn resisted the urge to cover her ears. That would just make her look weird and it wasn't like Mary's voice was on the outside; it was all in her head.
