I was thinking the two sides figure it out together through PM (the outcome, the losses etc.) and then both post their view of the battle but with the same outcome and losses so it doesn't cause confusion. As for PvE battles, I think the one that leads our armies should deal with the outcome and losses on their own. But I'd urge you to be objective when it comes to losses as I don't want to see people constantly killing off their rivals from other noble houses. For example, if two houses are at feud but are forced to fight together against a common enemy and I appointed one of them the leader of the combined forces.
