Maybe a simpler example would be the Fantastic Four.  If one player wants to play one of the Fantastic Four and if no one else does, I would not be against the idea of allowing that player to control all the members of the Fantastic Four (as it would be difficult to function as one person).

As of right now, I have two other people who said that they were interested, making it a total of 4 people so far.  The characters we so far have are:
-Spider-Man (me)
-Gambit
-Rogue
-Shadowcat (I assume you wish to play as Kitty Pryde)
