[b]Appearance:[/b] Stands at 5ft 10in with a slender build. Could definitely be considered as handsome, with pale complexion and prominent bone structure. Green eyes and red hair worn long and tied back with a leather band. Clean shaved face and narrow shoulders betray his youth and inexperience with the guard.

[b]Personality:[/b] Stuck-up and arrogant. Considers most others as beneath him and hence has trouble dealing with authority and the chain of command. This has left him often disciplined and with very few friends within the guard. He is sarcastic and thinks of himself as being very witty (although others do not agree.) This tendency to mock everything and often push things too far means he is often considered as annoying or gobby.

[b]Reason for joining the guard:[/b] After one too many run-ins with the authorities and a long list of gambling debt was forced to abandon his inheritance and join the guard by his father.

[b]Backstory:[/b] Born the first-son of a Scintillan noble and in line to inherit his family's considerable estate. Bassianus had everything throughout his youth. But everything was not enough for him. Against his father's wishes he pursued his own pleasures. He would often be found in the lower hive, where he became involved in narcotics, gambling and prostitution. This continued for several years and resulted in numerous encounters with the Arbites. The final straw came when he was caught in possession of Obscura. His father decided that the family had suffered enough embarassment at Bassianus expense and gave him an ultimatum. He was willing to use his connections to drop the charges against his son, but only on the condition that he would abdicate from his inheritance and enlist in the guard.
