I'm all up in this for interest, and if accepted, I'll be taking Shadows/Darkness. Also, this'll be my first romp in an advanced RP, so I hope my posts will be good enough. But I will definitely be able to put out at least two-paragraphs a post, that is easy. Larger ones will appear during action scenes, or when I get inspired. P.S. I love this world you have set up, it's looks so good, I just want to dive right in.
First, thankyou for the compliment, I did put some effort into it, and will continue to do so. Secondly, from what you've said so far I'm inclined to understand you probably hail from casual (or casual-advanced). I do appreciate the fact that you are looking through advanced at all, more so that you find yourself here. I have no problem against players use to lesser standards (I mean no offense.) but I do require effort on your part. "Skimming" by just won't do here. Most advanced players either excel to comfortable writing standards, and/or are trying to improve, even if it's little by little. I know I do. Just to reiterate, we all start somewhere, I was once a lowly noob, roleplaying simple ideas through SOTDRP via Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Ah, the dark ages. Quite fun really. Now that being said, I won't turn you away. But if you're here I hope it's because you want to improve yourself, willingly. You say you can post two paragraphs, then I will expect three. I can provide you tips and tricks on how to flesh out your writing, and eventually you'll be with the "best" of them. (Those who enjoy writing more with detail, sacrificing faster plot advancement). If you think you can handle that then by all means, I will give you as fair a shot as anybody else. I judge based off of CS's, so really put some creative thought into it. The biggest problem I see are things being casually mentioned, and then moving on, hopping subjects relentlessly. When something is written down, you should always ask yourself if there is a; who, what, when, where, or why: That you can build upon. A handful of follow-up sentences, enlightening more on the subject at hand, the character's emotions, how the world around them reacts. Then read over it again, is there a small detail you could add? If it were a movie, how would you describe that scene. Regardless, I look forward to this as much, if not more, as the rest of you.
