Pet: Male Barn owl named Indiana(as in Jones). Strengths: - Adapts easily - Quick to act - Makes friends easily - Difficult to frighten Weaknesses: - As quick to anger as she is to action - Afraid of deep water and cannot swim - Loses interest quickly unless she cares a great deal about the subject matter Personality: Charlotte, despite everything, loves both of her dysfunctional parents dearly and will accept any of the various names they use for her. She was a precocious and curious child and is just as likely to find herself out of bounds as of the start of school. She sometimes seems like an adrenaline junky, and is just as happy to climb a cliff face as she is to fly to the top on broomstick. Charlotte is known for being impulsive and brash. School life only agrees with her half of the time. Sitting in class makes her antsy, but practical lessons are plentiful and there's always Care of Herbology to let her get outside for a while. History:Both of Charlotte's parents are muggles. Her father, Charlie, owns a pub, and he met Charlotte's mother, Marie, when he employed her to tend bar. A one night stand produced Charlotte, and the less-than-willing couple got married before anyone knew Marie was pregnant to avoid a public scandal. Charlie wanted a son to name after himself, but he got a daughter instead, though he'd call her "Charlie" or even "Junior" when he was drunk. Marie retaliated by calling her the much more feminine "Lottie." Having a daughter made Marie think she'd have the best rapport with their child, and was a bit surprised when her daughter took a liking playing adventure games outdoors. Still, she managed to get one over on Lottie's father, who could hardly ever get away from the pub to join them when Charlotte wanted to go camping. The letter from Hogwarts changed the family's tenuous relationship completely. Now instead of fighting over the attention of their daughter, Charlie and Marie felt equally and oddly detached from their daughter, and came together to try to understand her new world. During holiday after her first year, Charlie closed the pub to join one of Charlotte's camping trips, which now included completely earnest hunts for faeries and unicorns in addition to the usual pretend games. Though Charlie and Marie are closer to each other, the combination of an entire new world, and long months at a boarding school have created a rift between them and their daughter.
