Remember my whole "The Iscandarians are mindless sheep" thing? Without anyone to tell them what to do, everything falls apart because, well, Iscandarians are mindless sheep.

Then there's the fact that the entire Terran Armada will be bombarding their planets. Taking all that into account, they'll die off pretty quick.
